MoOnFiSh FeAst

Had a feast again at Moonfish (Marina Sq) on Fri after work with my colleagues.

There were a total of 8 of us there and boy we ordered lotsa food and stuffed ourselves to the brim. I was like full till the tip of my throat and my tummy bulged ( heng, worn loose top on that day).

Here the lowdown of wat we ordered and the verdict:

Was planning to have Escargots but a pity there non avail on Fri *shucks* Was so disappointed lor.

In place we had Moonfish Fried Calamari Rings $8.95 - signature dish -
Lightly breaded calamari ring fried until crisp golden brown, served with spicy Neapolitan sauce. It was very tender yet springy and lightly breaded. *thumbs up*

Caesar Salad $9.95 (Full) Romaine & Iceberg lettuce, black olive, cherry tomato, garlic herb croutons, fresh egg & parmesan cheese and Asean Salad $13.95 (Full) Salad mix, egg, pineapple diced, tossed with spicy Thai dressing, topped with crispy chicken were served up next. Cesear Salad was pretty okay but the Asean Salad was a nice change from the usual. The leaves were fresh and crunchy and the chicken was darn lip smacking good. Paired with the spicy thai dressing, it was a twist that will leave you drooling.

We also ordered the Clam Chowder $3.95 but it was diluted and pretty bland. *thumbs down* I can find any clams in it. Probably minced up or something.

For the main course we ordered the (and my fave) yummy Lobster & Chicken $23.95 (2 servings), Moonfish Sizzler Combo $25.95 Fruits of the sea, 4 types of shellfish with marinated onions & bell peppers, served with spaghetti in a sizzling hot plate, with your choice of spicy Neapolitan or white wine sauce. We had it in both the spicy Neapolitan and White wine sauce. Many of us agreed that the Neapolitan one tasted the better. More flavourful while the white wine one paled in comparison in terms of taste and was a tad to spicy for me.

The
Lamb Shank $22.95 Braised lamb shank in chef' spices with chianti wine served with mashed potato, Italian vegetables & black pepper sauce was tender (meat) but the 'yang sao' aka lamb aftertaste was overpowering in the mouth. Need glasses of ice water and mint to wash it away~

There was a one for one beverage deal on Fri so I ordered the
Italian Sunset $4.95 - A mix of refreshing mango, orange, fresh lime and lace of grenadine syrup to sweeten your taste bud. Pretty nice, and very refreshing. I love the vibrant orange and red combo colours.

For desert, we had the creamy dreamy Homemade Tiramisu $5.50, Green Tea Cheesecake $5.50 and the sinful Chocolate Brownie $5.50 With vanilla ice-cream & hot fudge. Fattening man! Haha, love the tiramisu the most.

Full is definitely an understatement. We were all so lazy to pluck our butts off the seat and chatted till the closing hours of 10pm at the restaurant. In fact we were the last customers still lingering in the restaurant.

I love the place, must bring bf there the next time to dine. *smiles*

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Woke up real late today as had a late nite slp. Caught Death Note 2 in the theatres last nite and it was really fantastic. Will review it in chummycheryl later on. Fingers feel a lil fat to go typing there for the moment :p

Off for a short nap (although I just woke up not too long ago). Taaaa~

LaDy RT

Boo hoo! My bag's outta stock *sob*

<--- The bag that was not meant to be (for now)

Just got a refund and email from a spree organiser that the bag I ordered was outta stock and she refunded me promptly. So sad. I L.O.V.E that bag. Shared my woes with Christel over MSN and she just knighted me with the title of 'Lady RT'.

You know what's RT? Retail Therapy.

Since our MMX days (where I was there on a short stint as a lifestyle writer), I was totally enjoying making half day trips down the malls over S'pore sourcing for products ranging from clothes, bags, accessories etc to feature in our lifestyle cum auto mag.

In fact I could do it the whole day! Time passes darn fast when you are with the crowds and shopping (although not for myself la). :p

Plus, with my current obsession for online sprees (esp from Taiwan) and local auctions plus a X'mas gift request for shopping vouchers, it's no wonder Christel decide that the Lady RT moniker is just right for me *wink*

I caught wind from my boss that Isetan had a private (by invitation) sale (held ydae) but too bad mi not invited man. I don't mind bracing the crowd for a good steal. *woe betide face*

Anyway BF oso got voucher which he won from his ex Co's D&D which he probably will splash out on new shoes or bag *wide grin*

RoCk Me Not

Motion sickness - a dreaded term I had been inflicted since young.

Be it taxis or buses I have experienced it all. Am especially prone to puking syndrome when I take long trips or 'blessed' with a driver that jerks like crazy.

But with age my resistance or tolerance level to puking in long journeys have somewhat lessened but some traces of it is still left. There are forever some stuff I can't do onbroad a vehicle.

I totally CANNOT read on the bus or train. Yes, even reading on the train will leave me with a woozy head. This is sooo unfair coz due to the fact that I spend a fair bit of time travelling on public transport (esp when I was still in uni faced with close to an hr of bus rides to school) hence I am not able to utilize the time well. Such as revising notes on the way to school (esp before exams) or just pure leisure reading to make time pass by faster.

Do you know that it actually took mi a few weeks to get used to travelling to my uni located in Clementi without turning green in the face? My usual initial route involves taking bus 165 to Clementi interchange then switching to bus 96 which loops in NUS (found another shorter route thru bus 74 then switching to bus 151 at bt timah). Kaoz, even I can't believe how I got thru it. Urgh.

Whilst my friend can actually even DO HER HOMEWORK on the bus and complete all or half of it by the time she alights.

I am sooooo envious.

Just the other day my bf and me took bus 169 from Woodlands interchange back to AMK. And both of us endured the 40 mins journey with a bout of dizzy heads and near puking incidents. I practically tahan-ed till we finally reached amk and alighted one stop earlier than the normal. It didn't help that the bus airon was leaking on that rainy evening and I was the 'target' for the fallen drops. DARN.

Even when I was kayaking during OBS in sec 3 I had a terrible bout of motion sickness on the sea. Plus at that time my team was supposed to kayak and race to be the first. Needless to say with my motion sickness (though I din puke but I was like a limp fish outta water when we reached ashore) we ended up first from the bottom. Thank god the motion sickness subsided after I got used to the sea and we managed to race to the lead the next day. Haha...

Mum and bro are also inflicted (hence I assume it was genetic la :p) and have tried many ways to delay the effects or cure it (though the effectiveness is not very stable).

We have tried:

1) Eating sour preserved fruits to curb the puking

2) Drink brown sugar (yuck!)

3) Sleep on the journey

4) Listen to music (quite effective for me as it takes my mind off)

Any good suggestions from you guys? :)

LoSs

I am feeling lost.

Loss of appetite that is. Ate half my bowl of bak chor mee tai mak for lunch just now. Usually I will be able to wolf it all down with a pat on my tummy (esp I had no brekky). I just look at my bowl of noodles with distaste and ate as much just to keep my digestive juices happi.

Been like that since after X'mas. Guess that's the 'punishment' for being ultra greedy over the festive period. *Oops*

And with the New Year coming up, I am feeling a lil queasy with the tot of bingeing on food. *feeling faint and stuffed* Plus my bf has been saying I seemed to pack some pounds. *terrified* Where did my metabolism go ( if I do have one in the first place)???

------------------------------------------------

Internet was down all morning till after lunch due to some earthquake disturbance/occurrance in Taiwan which affected the cable (ppl at the internet provider say one not me). Hence can't do much work at all and hopped downstairs my office to watch 'Just my luck' starring Lindsay Lohan vcd. Not bad chick flick to pass a lazy idle Sunday afternoon :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

With so much rain... I am lemming for some vit D from the sun!

Updated: I have officially overloaded on caffeine:

Had 1 cup of tea in the morning, a cup of kopi and now teh.... Cham~

cRaVE nO mOrE

Update post lunchie:

Darn, due to my incessant feasting beyond consideration for my tummy and gastrics, I have suddenly developed a lost of craving for all foods except:

1) Soup
2) Chocs
3)Birds Nest
4)Ice cream

Help mi!!!!!

HaPpY bDay DeArEst

Wah Lau! Raining heavily on a morning again!!!!!!

I oh soooooooooooooooo dread waking up to a heavy downpour, wet feet/jeans, cold (brrrr~) morning weekday.
ARgghh!!!!!

Was so inclined to fall back to the my warm bed and skip work but pulled myself up, throw on a tee, slip on my jeans and flip flops, sloshed thru the puddles of water and brave the wind and rain with my brolly. AND IT IS STILL RAINING... bOO HOO~

I am officially darn jealous of those who are deep in slumber land under those warm sheets (inclusive of my mum, bro and doggie). The office is darn chilly now and with all the rain and all, I am all the more lemming for the Adidas jacket/sweater that I chanced upon in the Adidas store in The Cathay...

Anyway here's the lowdown of my X'masy day ydae :p

Met up with bf and friends for a dinner at Xin Wang HK Cafe in Orchard (how ironic we spent X'mas eve and X'mas in town which we told ourselves to avoid) before catching the adorable Charlotte's Web. The movie was ok ok la but the lil runt was soooo cute.

Proceeded to look for winnie the pooh gifts for bf's colleagues then headed down this Jap steamboat buffet which was totally sucky. Blew like $21 for food that was not exactly fresh though the soup base was kinda yummi. Plus one of the friends spotted some spiritual sightings in the building's female toilet (which thankfully I happened to skip a trip to the loo) and our lift mysteriously getting stalled at the 4th (!) level 3 times and getting halted at each level till the 1st floor. Creepy I tell you.

Appreciate the weather which held up pretty well ydae. And took pics before the big X'mas tree in Taka. Nice~

Need to holler out in joy todae coz it's my bf's bdae!

Happy bdae to you!
Happy bdae to you!
Happy bdae to my dearest!
Happy bdae to you!

And Happy Boxing day to everyone!!!!!!!!!

MeRrY x'mAs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ho Ho Ho!!! Merry X'mas to everyone! Was out in town ydae (jostling with the crowds) and buying gifts at Bugis. Phew the crowds were there but thankfully not in full force (think Orchard and VivoCity will be jam packed). Caught 'Curse of the golden flower' and practically can just sum up the movie in a short phrase : Blossoms of bosoms. Read my review on it in a short while on msn live spaces. Will be out in town later again to mit up with some friends (heh.To think I actually told myself not venture town in the festive period. Oops!) Enjoy the holidays and look forward to an even longer one this coming weekend. Yoo hoo!

X'MaS DiNnEr At MoOnFiSh

Ahhhhh...Unearthed a fantastic pasta and seafood restaurant ydae (read: credit Christel)

We girls/ladies met up for a pre-X'mas dinner at MoonFish Pasta and Seafood restaurant to pig out. Prior to that we headed down to Suntec's Carrefour to pick n choose Christel's ham 'bolster' gift but a pity they were a tad too big for her loved ones (and herself) to devour so we went to Giant at Marina Sq ( where MoonFish is also located) and saw the perfect X'ma Honey Glazed Ham.

Grabbed it and we scooted off to makan (coz I was reali STARVING and my legs were giving way). The restaurant was lovely, tucked in a corner at the front entrance of Marina Sq (somewhere opposite Breeks and beside this chinese restaurant).

Sat down and Christel presented me with this:

wow, like ang pow!

Yes, just for me me me, onli me! Hence I became like this after getting 'my
precious' aka Metro voucher in my hands:

Can you read 'I am a shopaholic on my face' ?

And Christel wanted to devour her 'bolster' there and then at the restaurant:

Smells and feels darn nice and yummi!

I was practically salivating over the menu and took on Christel's recommendation of the Lobster & Chicken $23.95 - Lobster & Chicken with butter cream sauce, served with spaghetti aglio-olio. Omg! The description was yummi enough with lavish key words like 'Lobster', Butter cream sauce' which already won me over from my inital choice of 5-star cod fish. Sorrie fishie.

Christel had the Seafood Paradise $18.95 a delicious combination of squid, mussel, scallop and prawn, with shiitake mushrooms, sautéed in fresh garlic, olive oil on a bed of spaghetti. Had initally ordered Crayfish Di Mozarella $18.95 Sautéed crayfish in a delicious blend of Italian chunky Neapolitan sauce topped with mozzarella cheese, served with spaghetti aglio olio but there were no crayfish available ydae. Shucks.

We also ordered the heavenly and tenderish Escargot "Moonfish" $11.95 - Garden snails, stuffed in mushroom caps, wood-oven baked in herbs garlic butter topped with parmesan cheese. It has been ages since I ate escargot and I wolfed down 5 of the 6 escargots coz Christel wasn't having much of an appeitite coz of her F.L.U. It has came with a basket of garlic bread.

We end off our very successful meal with a nice dessert in the form of the Homemade Tiramisu $5.50 - Finger sponge layered mascarpone & zabaglione flavoured with espresso & kahlau. Nice. I was contented and happily patting my tummy. Yum! Had glasses of ice water to wash everything down.

And guess what? The bill only cost us $24 per pax coz Christel has the UOB one-for-one promo. Yeah! What a great deal! In fact I wanna go there again...Craving for the pasta... *dreaming*

Log on to www.moonfish.com.sg. Gotta try this. The food looks even yummier live!

WaNnA kIcK tHeSe PeOpLe'S aSsEs

I was shooting daggers at this (very inconsiderate) woman (auntie) this morning on the train...

As usual, I took the train to work (a bit late la) from my lil tomato land and as usual the train was pretty packed (probably due to the rain that was making it harder for everyone to get outta bed). Managed to squeeze into available space towards the middle of the cabin and hung onto my dear life with one of the hangars(not sure if that is what's it is called).

While getting lost in thoughts as I stare blankly back at the my own reflection while the train speeds through the dark tunnel noisily, I noticed this woman standing behind me fidgeting and grumbling under her breath (probably grumbling at how packed the train was). Okay, she din do nothing or harrassed me so I just ignored her.

Then, when she reached her stop (tink it was Somerset), she squeezed past me (without muttering 'excuse me'), grabbed the sole hangar I was holding on (read: the other hangars near me where occupied by other people hanging on to balance) and practically cast my hand off it!

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEEN SOMEONE DO THIS (at least to me) ON THE TRAIN!

Wah lau! I was soooo pissed with her that I glared at her and my face probably resembles the ultra dark clouds that reign over Singapore skies over the past few days.

What a hangar-snatcher! Plus the fact that I am hopeless balancing on trains and need hangars and poles to grab on to made me even more mad. I almost slipped lor. Thankfully, one of the steel poles had a space for me to hold on to (another inconsiderate staff from one of the major electronic dept stores was leaning against it) if not chaos would have resulted.

PISSED PISSED PISSED!

This incident reminds me of another Woman whom I met at TF a few days ago. I was buying a dress from the store and queuing up at the cashier. There was only another lady infront of me whom the cashier was serving.

Then this Woman who appeared 5 to 10 mins later, went to stand at the opposite end of the queue! Scene was like the lady in between the both of us. What the nerve! And whadya know, when the cashier (who knew I was first) was about to serve me, this WTF Woman opened her mouth and said to the cashier (in chinese): "Xiao Jie, I was here first."

I shot the Woman daggered looks (but she wasn't looking back at me all the time; most probably guilty la) but I din say anything. What the heck, I just want to pay and go back to office. So pissed.

What the hell is wrong with these people?????????????

I am a very active volcano now...

MaTteRs oF tHe RaiN

Finally, am able to log into blogger and the page to load...

Was itching to blog but just couldn't due to some weird and mysterious internet forces haha. What's up the rain over the past few days? Huge rapid and painful raindrops have been sighted falling upon multi-coloured brollys, unprotected heads and bascially the whole Singapore like nobody's business.

I sighted near overflowing canals (at Bishan) filled with (yucky) muddy brown (similar to teh) water, ankle deep puddles on roads and pavements, many drenched jeans (including mine), near-slips while walking and sniffling noses. The rain was terrible. The damage included an old tree being uprooted in amk ave 5 and Far East Flora (located at Thomson Road) flooded incurring damages and lost of plants etc. Urgh!

Darn dreary to wake from a cool slumber in the night to gloomy skies and heavy downpour in the morning when I was about to go to work. Worse still to be packed into a crowded train cabin and squashed with fellow (irritating) passengers with wet brollies and all. Everyone is not exactly in the best of mood (in fact I witness this ang moh who took out his brolly ala samurai drawing sword style in town ydae).

Bf was complaining how soaked his shoes were and mum grumbling at when while the sun ever appearr to dry the laundry. The onli happy souls in the house? Bro (coz he is on hol and attached to his laptop and PS) and Whisky (easily contented soul as long as you play tug of war with him and give him kisses and cuddles).

Was supposed to catch the gala premier of Death Note 2 at GV Grand Great World City ydae (maybe can schoomze with the celebs too) but coz of the heavy RAIN (which did not deterred eager beaver X'mas shoppers in town) mi and bf were denied of it. FANTASTIC.

Hence with all damp experiences and news reports that the rain will not cease till after Fri, it was a pleasant experience to see the sun shinning into my room and living room this morning when I got up. Yeah! Blue skies, white clouds and the nice warm sunshine. Aaaahhhhhhh! Beautiful.

iMpoSSiBLe

I am so beat.

Shutting down even though its only approaching noon on a monday (aka blues on a dreaded start-of-the-week). And nursing an itchy throat too *praying hard it does not bloom into a sore throat or cough*

Stayed over on the weekend and only managed a couple of hours of sleep shared over Sat and Sun. The result? A pair of panda-ish eyes that is beyond salavage. *sob*

Tired limbs and a couple of mosquito bites. Arrgh!

I just want doze off but I can't coz I am working. I badly want to:

1) Crawl back into the soft comforts of my bed at tomato land
2) Sleep the monday away
3) Banish my dark eye circles
4) Dissovle the achness in my limbs
5) Have a hot water bottle to warm me up as the aircon in office is freezing.

Can anyone grant me these IMPOSSIBLE wishes?

DogGiE rAmBLiNgS

Sometimes I wonder what my doggie is thinking when he just sits there and looks (adoringly) at me with his round and big eyes.

Sometimes I wonder what he dreams when he is asleep with his face snuggled into the cushions and occasionally emitting soft barks while dreaming.

Sometimes I wonder does my doggie ever feel angry/mad/plot evil things in his mind when we refuse to play with him/ step on his lil soft paw accidentally/ ka-chow him when he is dozing off.

In short my doggies amazes me till no end and keeps me guessing.

It's fate that we had chose him among a litter of 3 pups and how we adopted him when initally we had a female pup in mind. How we just took him home from a ulu part of Singapore on a rainy night and did not even bother if he will be toilet/paper trained easily or whether he barks a lot.

Only pet lovers will understand the immense joy to have a lil furry fellow waiting patiently for you to come home by the gate, jumping in excitment and pure happiness when you step in, asking feverently for kisses and hugs. Even when you discipline them or step on their paw, they will still wag their tails and love you as much as ever. Awwwww~

When I am sad, angry I can always count on him to cheer me up. You can't stay mad at such a lil bundle of innocent fur. Haha

Which reminds me, X'mas is coming, what should I buy for him? Any suggestions? :)

sLiPpEry SLiP UpS

I used to fall down/slip alot when I was younger.

Frankly I have no idea why? Were my legs weak? My footwear worn out? Or am I just plain klutzy? *shrug shoulders*

I have embarrassed myself countless times at the void deck of my flat, the coffeeshop a few blocks away from my flat, the overhead bridge opposite my school, town etc. Gosh, just thinking of those incidents are making me smile in embarrassment and blush. Haha

Anyway, one of those most memorable 'falling down' moments got to be when I was 5 or 6 years old and I was tugging behind my mum to the sheng siong supermarket behind my block. Think I was in those pink rubber flip flops and was fumbling along, minding on my own business and walking behind my mother (her hands were probably full with all the bags of grocery so she could not hold on to my hand).

When all of a sudden, I stepped on some wet/slimy/oily/slippery thing on the floor and land with a loud 'thud!'. Even though I was only 5 or 6 years old with a weight of mayb 20 odd kg, my thud! was loud enough to shock this lady and she shriek or specifically shrieked 'Oei!" loudly.

Mum turned around and saw her young daughter on the ground on her butt. HAHAHAAHHAA. Mum confessed many years later that she was actually holding in the urge to laugh. She thought someone else of hefty weight had fallen to emit that thud! sound and least expected it to be her own daughter. Goodness!

The other memorable (should actually be forgotten incident) is me missing a step and falling on the overhead bridge opposite my sec school when I was in sec 1. I was on the way home and left the school together with HT. Was busy chatting with her as we walked down the bridge when suddenly I just missed my footing and slipped. Landed on my butt and although there was no thud! sound even though I was waaay heavier at 13 yrs of age than when I was 5, there was a CROWD of assorted people waiting for their buses at the bus stop.

And they SAW ME FALLING/SLIPPING DOWN. Boy, that was soooooo malu. I do not know how I managed to get home without my face on fire. HT got a shock when I slipped. :p

Due to my penchant for slippers/flip flops and my sentimental nature of not throwing but persisting to wear my fave footwear have resulted a few slips and near-slips. Hence, got to tread carefully when the ground is wet. I do not want a full bloom butt. haha

TiME oF tHe MoNtH aGaIN

I am feeling damn sucky now...

My lower back is aching.
I got a few zits on my face.
My tummy is bloated.
I feel (or am already) fat.
I want to eat but cant (coz am feeling fat).
My hair and face gets oily easily.

ALL this due to the monthly menses that has made it's red (pun intended) carpet arrival late Friday night. It sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I can't drink much water to stave off the hunger pangs coz I might risk water retention. Shit. Shit. Shit.

sHop TiLL wE dRoP & aChE

Was as crowded as ever...

Town (namely Orchard) that is... It was a weekday yesterday and the throngs of people (mix of yong and old of both genders) were no different from a typical weekend. Freaking crowded. Maybe coz X'mas is approaching and the school holidays are in full blast hence the lack of space to walk about.

Met with my clan of sec sch pals and we shopped, walked, gossiped, chattered, bought, ate from FEP all the way to OG point and back to tomato land's Mos Burger. Sad to say, my shopping stamina had taken a sharp dip as I felt my knee caps and back strained from all that walking and browsing even when I was in FEP (and that was our first stop). Hell, during my schooling days I can conquer the whole Orchard stretch without complaining or a muscle ache. Darn. Age and lack of practice had caught up with me.

Anyway, it was as lovely and fun to meet up with the girls before Sy goes on her exciting Thailand and Cambodia trips. I was like itching to empty my whole bank account when I saw the lovely clothes and bags and shoes on display and sale. But the thought of eating grass and drinking air for the next couple of years stopped me from toppling into the shopping heap of madness. Still it was a tough fight. Everything looked so nice!!!!!! Arrrgh!

Even my extremely very soft spot for tube dresses and bags, I am rather proud I held out and spent within my limits haha

But everything would not have looked great or fun without great shopping kakis and thanks girls for the lovely and busy day ydae :)

bLoOd GoRe Mrt

Caught two total polar (extreme) opposite genre of movies over the weekend. Namely Saw 3 and Deck The Halls; see my other blog at chummycheryl (on the side under friends) for the reviews.

I seriously do think my threshold for gore movies had taken a turn for the worse. Just minutes into the movie, I was asking myself why on earth did I pay to watch people spew blood from all parts of their body. Should have watched 'Open Season'.

Haha...BUT everytime a gore/horror movie is on, I am the 1st to ask my bf if he wants to watch it. Ironic but old habits die hard. Very hard.

So till the day I faint while watching a horror movie or lapse into some fits, I am still watching such bloody horror stuff. >.<

On the continued note of blood and gore (I told you so), another MRT suicide/ unnatural death occured again at Yishun station ard 7 odd am yesterday. A foreign worker got hit by the oncoming train and services were disrupted for a good 40 mins or so. The train was hell packed to the brim even in the last cabin (usually the most deserted with the least (living k) human bodies in it). Managed to pack myself in if not I will be horribly late for work. Heng arh.

Well, for those who witness the accident. Not so heng lah. The trauma will be like ever present for at least a while. It is sooo not a nice way to die by flunging oneself off the ouch! tracks and get your body ripped into a messy mess. Worse than watching any gorey movie slapped with a R21 rating.

Excuse me, have people found the tracks a new 'trendy' place to kill themselves after plunging off HDB flats? I think it inflicts more trauma to others. And such acts are not PG at all. Imagine some toddler witnessing such acts (although I think people who really want to die, wun even give a heck)? Scarred for life.

It's scary to read such reports in the papers with such consistency recently. Really do hope the latest accident is the last of it all.

On a brighter note, it's the mth of dec and ta dah! X'mas is fast approaching!

Will be on leave tmr to go X'mas shopping with my close pals. Haha, long time no go shop the whole day. *throw hands up in glee*

PS finally

I got a SONY PS!

For many years, I have only tried my hands once or twice on other people's PS and finally I got my own yesterday. Courtesy of a cousin who's getting a new PS (lucky fellow), he gave my family his old one, still in pretty good condition and playable, I was racing my bro on the station yesterday with my yellow Aston Martin.

Although I lost 3 games outta 4 to my bro (yes, I am that lousy; mum was hysterical over my racing skills) but I am hell bent on winning him one fine day EVERY GAME. Watch out bro *evil smirk*

Anyway, anyone got PS wrestling games (which you dun want anymore) to give away? Many thanks :)

GiFt FrOm AbOvE

Went to bf's friend's baby's one month celebration at Chua Chu Kang yesterday.

The lil darling was soooooooooooooooooo cute! Such soft skin, sleeping cosily and bundled up in a white blanket/cloth with a soft cap/hat on. Goodness and he was so peaceful and quiet, only stirred a lil as we grown-ups go gogo-gaga over him. Occasionally opening a teeny weeny lil bit of his eyes to peek before being drawn back into lullaby land. *Gush*

Din have a chance to carry or touch him coz he is still pretty fragile. I melt upon the sight of the lil one. Bought a infant clothing set for him and I gotta to admit I havea weakness for babies in jumpers. I think they look so outta this world adorable in jumpers. I just can't say why.

The proud parents had called in a buffet spread and piled a lil mountain of red eggs to celebrate. Forgot what's the symbolic purpose behind those red eggs but I was lazy to peel the shells and get my fingers all stained red so I skipped the eggs. Had a nice buffet lunch though.

We took a last gogo-gaga look at the baby boy before bidding our goodbyes to the parents. They were very nice hosts.

The last time I went attended a full month celebration was like years ago (i think) and I think full month celebrations are one of the nicest and joyest celebration to go to. A gift from god- what's not to celebrate? :)

I wanna watch it but doubt there'll be time to catch it today... With all the reports of people fainting while watching the movie mid-way, I am all the more hyped up about it. Hope it does not disappoint.
