The world seems so messy lately.

Chaotic.

Cruel.

Can we get some uplifted spirits?

The NeiGhBouRhOOd kiDs

Was taking the lift back home after work one evening in my block and one of the kiddo who lives on the 3rd storey rushed into the lift with me after picking up a ball which he and his frenz accidentally dropped down to the ground floor.

He was panting away with heavy drops of perspiration all over his face and a soaked tee. Have seen him and his bro and their buncha frenz having a ball of time along the corridors or empty spaces near the lift landing.

Can't help thinking of the past where mi and my fellow neighbourhood kids went screaming thru the air with our childhood games.

Now that we are all grown up and some have moved away, what is left is some awkward greetings and missed memories.

The downside but inevitable part of growing up/old.

ALmOst HErE to HoME

Home by Chris Daughtry and Almost Here by Brian Mcfadden + Delta Goodrem is now in repeat mode in my playlist.

My fave verses from each.

Home
The miles are getting longer, it seems The closer I get to you

Almost Here
But when I need you
You're almost here
And I know that'sNot enough
But when I'm with youI'm close to tears
'Cause you're only almost here

LoVeLy TueS

Was planning to make a trip to queenstown shopping centre/ikea after work ydae BUT

.
.
.
.
.
.

the hella of a bus number 14 REFUSED to come even after a patient 30mins wait. In the end the bf and I made our way to town instead.

Doused our anger in noodles, xiao long bao, veg/pork dumplings, egg/banana/red bean paste dessert and ice water at Crystal Jade eatery. Stepped out with bulging tummies, jalan abit (was already close to 10pm) and hopped on the bus home.

Yours truly feel pukish halfway on the bus and was dying for it to reach tomato-land. Staggered out of that double decker bus and proceeded to lie flat on my bed when I got home.

That rounds up my tues for this wk.

Lovely.

TiGeRs StaY

Should the White Tigers (involved in the mauling of the a zoo cleaner) go or stay?

That was the topic of a poll conducted amongst the public since the shocking incident occurred.

Honestly, the white tigers are one of my fave (and still are) exhibits in the Zoo. I DO NOT think they deserved to shoulder and blame and be transported away.

It wasn't their fault that the sucidal (or not) cleaner decided to jump into the moat and agitate them with his bristled broom.

And in history so far, the tigers NEVER attacked anyone before. They mauled juz coz he went to agitiate him. Then the public threw stuff at them in a fruitless attempt to distract the tigers.

What do the tigers deserve to go? Nothing. It's not their fault that the cleaner decided to end his lfie at their claws and enclosure.

If he had jumped into the hyena , the panther or the cheetah enclosure he would have been mauled.

In no way, should they be whisked away.

MaGNiFicAnT mAGadEsCar 2

After watching Magadescar: Escape 2 Africa, the popular animaed movie has cemented my waning interest for horror/gore movies.

The comedy movie of a buncha 4 lost Central Park Zoo animals in Africa was extremely rib-tickling with animated effects that were superb. The audience adored it with laughter ringing throughout in the theatre and even claps during ultimate moments.

I. LOVE. IT.SO

GO watch it.

King Julien (the lemur (above left)) voiced by Borak (Coehn) was hilarious! He stole the show (in my opinion) :)

What a rainy and chilly day it is.

Darn cold. I can feel a cold coming on.

Returned home with a sore headache after work and popped into bed to rest. I tink my immunity took a dip.

WedDiNG aND fLuTtErS

Attended my cousin's wedding at Mariott Hotel ydae.

It's been awhile since I attended a wedding be it a relative or friend and hey presto! I received 2 invites just this month alone.

Another sec sch fren's wedding coming up end nov.

Lately, I have been practising putting on false eyelashes since a fellow colleague introduced mi to the world of falsies. With the thick black lash bone, it gives the eyeliner effect and is perfect for moi, who has problem drawing a neat line on my lids :p

I need to stock up and get the glue remover. The glue applied on the falsies are damn stubborn.

I WaNNa pLaY A GaMe

SAW 5.

Caught this highly profitable gross torture chambers and device movie franchise by Twisted Pictures at GV Vivo with my buncha colleagues ydae.

Prior to the movie scare fest, we had dinner at Carl's Junior and overloaded on burgers and chilli cheese beef fries. Felt darn greasy afterwards.

Anyways, my past SAW movie experiences, involves lotsa cringing and sheltered eyes. True to it's nature that are lotsa sadistic and sure-die traps blah blah but surprise surprise~ I kept my eyes opened :D

Sibeh proud of myself hahahaah

I love SAW movies but I gotta say Part V has lost much of it's twisted novelty. I love the jigsaw do and it's raspy voice uttering this feared liner to all his unsuspecting victims:

"I wanna play a game.'

ChoMpie~~~

I heart Chomp Chomp!!!!!

Made our way to my fave eating haunt on Sat. It had been awhile since I stepped foot there and there's an Aston Express just opposite too!! (actually there's an outlet in tomato-land too but I haven seeked it out yet).

Anyways, arrived at CC around 5plus and there were stil lotsa seats for us to pick n choose from. By the time it struck 6, the dinner crowd was piling in and the place was filled to the brim. My CC staples include:

1) Sambal Stingray (with lotsa chinchalok!!!!!!)
2) Sambal Kang Kong
3) Oyster Omelette (lotsa eggy goodness and the mini oysters of course!)
4) Chicken wings (albeit oily but yums!)
5) Sugar cane juice to wash everything down

optional stuff
1) Sotong
2) Satay
3) Hokkien Mee
4) la la n gong gong (so far d ppl I went with seldom eat these shell fishes)

The chinchalok was fab! I could jus eat it own its own lah~~~

CC is soooooooo much beta than Newton Circus.

I wanna go again :D
