FrEnZ

Friends... what would you do without 'em?
Updated!

Met up with the girls last wk and we took some neoprints tog. It has been quite some time I took neoprints liao... tink it was in the early yrs I was dating my bf that I last stepped into a neoprint booth.

Basicallly I am usually lost by those weird jap words/instructions on the machines, am very uncreative with my poses and heck got camera liao might as well make full use of it since u can take tons of digital images without spending a cent. :p

Anyway, the neoprint urge in me seemed to be rekindled after dat day lah...now i feel like going on a neoprint frenzy again -_-III

Here are some of the prints we took dat day. Very cute machine with lotsa backgrd template to choose from sadako to dustbins to train cabins!

Enjoy:
This one is damn funny lah! We were so unprepared that we din pose properly. Hahahaa...As u can see there are like 4 of us crowded at the back n sy is the sole one infront. Reason being no one wants to infront as we are terrified it will make our face look big big like hum ji peng hahahaha

So sabo sy n got her to stand infront since she was the last one to step into the booth after going to change dollar coins to slot into the machines. We are bad lah ;p

Cool~ Black's everyone's colour :D

Bright and cheery!

Aiyoh... so sweet lah!

Thank you for the yummi dinner and tasteless to damn sweet iced yuan yang treat :p
The huge red rose is now displayed on my desk :D
Love ya all!

DiNiNG wIth At ThE yAcHt

RASF YC located near NUS was the place my colleagues and I dined at on a near rainy friday evening. It was the first time yours truly was there and I was filled in anticapation plus the 3 of us were very hungry coz it was like close to 8pm when we arrived there ;P

We were shown to our table upstairs at the dining place called 'The Wharf'. The table setting. Pardon my camera shot which really sucks at nite lah.

The view of yachts docked at the harbour and lotsa twinkling lights beyond :)

Benches and tables below. The wind was pretty chilly. It was drizzling lightly initially before coming to a sudden halt.

We then proceeded to dine and choose the delish items on the menu to fill our rumbling tummies. It took quite awhile before food was served. I was practically drooling by the time it finally arrived piping hot...

Huiru's choice: silver cod fillet

Ivy's choice: Salmon steak drizzled with bbq sauce

And mine: Tender rib eye steak with red wine sauce. Served medium rare of course :p

My belated bdae cheesecake :)

Cutting cake time! Ignore intruder taking pics on the side :p

More cam whoring!

All 3 together now!

The rooms where guests of the yacht club could rest for the nite

The shallow pool

The place was pretty nice and the food's good... Just too bad it's a lil far for me hahaaha

Would love to go there again :D

MorE Sashimi

Hojin Japanese Restaurant

That's the jap buffet place I put my tummy to the test ydae after work with Christel. Located at Tanjong Pagar just behind Capital Square, a quaint and tranquil placed furnished in wood with waitresses dressed in kimonos and slippers, head on there to whack the sashimi lah!

The ceilings are decorated with pretty lights and lanterns

Jap face masks on the walls. Look at the mask on the right. LOOK at the LONG RED NOSE. Does it remind u of SOMETHING? :P

How can u not eat sashimi when u are going for a jap buffet? Christel and devoured 4 plates of sashimi comprising of yellow tail, salmon, octopus and tuna. The yellow tail was great but the maguro wasn't a-s good as Hanabi's. The presentation too was a lil off-standard as u shall see in the sashimi pics to come.

This plate was stil okie looking...

We also ordered ebi tempura, handrolls, soft shell crab (yummi). Look at the plate of sashimi. It was the first plate we ordered and the serving was double of what we ordered later on. Looks a lil messy too.. Haphazardly piled on the plate.

Chwanmushi. Yumi! It's pretty tasty despite the not very attractive pic.

More sashimi! See what I mean? the serving significantly dwindled after the first plate. The salmon teriyaki was also not bad. The shishamo was soft and absoutely delish!

The 'complimentary' very small serving of sukiyaki complete with beef, mushrooms and tunghoon .

Yakitori.

And to end off a entry with another pics of sashimi. Did not take the pic of the last plate of sashimi which i devoured by myself as christel was also full. I think I need to stay away from jap buffet for 2 months. Overloaded too much for the past 2 wks liao.

*full* O_o

StOp TALkinG lah

Some radio deejays talk too much...

Goodness there's this particular station where airplay of songs is like so inversely proportionate the non-stop talking of the deejays

-_-III

KuiShiN-bO

Another jap buffet place to fill your bottomless pits...

Presenting: dong, dong, dong... Kuishin-bo!

Sink your teeth into a wide array of raw seafood, grilled meats, sushi, steaming paper steamboats, snowcrabs, scallop & ginseng porridge, soups, soft ice cream, sweet desserts and lots more. Headed down to Suntec City (Sky Garden level) to pig out with the bf on Sat on my bdae!

(you choose to dine inside or outside the restaurant but no worries, either way there's airon since 'outside' is still inside suntec city)

Both of us were hungry as hell and joined a slowly snaking queue at 530pm (Kuishin-bo opens at 530pm sharp till 10pm). Got a nice side table and on first sight, the place was clean and comfortable lit spacious restaurant. Different counters prettily piled with food are at your disposal to pile what you love on your plates. There's also a wide array of tea and other drinks to choose from.

The bf and ate forgo the Early Bird special where one eats from 530pm to 7pm as we did wanna be restrained by a time limit. Anyway here are the pics:

(in the inside of kuishin-bo)

(My must-have: chwanmushi! Photo credit: the bf)

(raaaaaaaw food! I love the crab corn salad at the side! The sashimi was a dissappointment though)

More raaaaaaaaaaw food! Am not a fan of the snow crab there)

This is interesting. In Kuishin-bo, there are intervals when there's a "dong dong dong" announcement, the first 20 customers who lined up at one of the counters will get a serving of the daily special. I heard that there is 3 such specials :p
The cheese and garlic lobster below was one of the specials. But it tastes too overpowering for mi (and a lil bitter too)

The delicious mocha ice cream. I had 2 cups of this! You can choose to sprinkle choc chips, raisins, tadpole-like jelly or peanuts over it. There's also vanilla flavour too!

Dessert! I love the white choc pralines. The fruit tarts were only so-so lah.

On the whole, kuishin-bo's ambience was lovely but the food didn't really live up to what I heard or expected.
Works out to $46 per pax for a weekend dinner.

SwwweeeeT CoLLeAgUeS

Bless these kind and saacharine sweet souls in my office

Lovely isn't it? My colleague sure has the knack for prettifying things up lah ;)
Guess wat's inside?

*note lao niang is 25 yrs old NOT 26 hahahahahaa :P

Taaaaa daaaah! A pretty purple theme bracelet

Then hor on vdae...
Another sweeet colleague passed a round of sweeeeet choc hershey kisses nicely wrapped up to all in the office... *melts*

Look at this heart clip! All the way from Japan wor~

The treasures inside: purple dark chocs and golden milk chocs.

I finished em up with minutes :D

A durian cake to share with the BF on V Day nite. Yesh, we cleaned it all up within half an hour. Intoxicated with durian now *burp*

I have more pics coming up tomorrow on my pig-out session at kuishin-bo on Sat... I can see that my arms are chubbier le *boo hoo*

omy 爱要说出口!

A dedication out of the jukebox for my cherished other half :)

I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees

All I am stubborn, naïve and sometimes downright tempermental,
All I'll be
Everything in this world
All that I'll ever need
is You You You!
Is in your eyes windows to a caring soul filled with selfless love
Shining at me
When you smile I can feel
and melt
All my passion unfolding flowing unstoppably
Your hand brushes mine
And a thousand sensations
Seduce me 'cause I
am ever so willing

I do cherish you
For the rest of my life
till we both turn wrinkly with heads of silver hair
You don't have to think twice
I will love you still
from the depths of my soul
deeper than the deepest ocean
It's beyond my control
I've waited so long to say this to you
going beetroot red too
If you're asking do I love you this much of course I do Dear
I doin’ my world, before you
I lived outside my emotions
Didn't know where I was going
waiting for someone to hold my hand and keep my heart
'Til the day I found you
How you opened my life
and I know you are the man for keeps
To a new paradise
In a world torn by change
still with all my of my heart
'Til my dying day
I love you & only you

*************************************************

I just wanna say sorry...

For the times, I hanged up the phone on you rudely

For the times, I was insensitive as a rock to your feelings

For the times, I acted all tempermental and moody

For the times, my pms acts up

*************************************************

I just wanna say thanks...

For the times, you showered me with concern and comforting herbal teas when the flu bug strikes

For the times, you held my hand tight and kept my balance when I was klutz on the bicycle

For the times, you listened thru' my sleepless nites and constant ramblings

For the times, you shared my joy when I got lucky

For the times, you gave me your shoulder to cry on when the skies are overcast

For the times, you juz held mi in your arms juz cos' you love me

HappI sT vALeNtiNe'S dAy!

Think I am going to drown in a saacahrine sweet of lovey dovey sights and sounds today.

Non-stop love songs on the radio...

Endless strings of mushy dedications...

Pairs of swooning couples walking down the street with bouquets of flowers and cuddly teddy bears...

Ridculously priced stalks of roses (and other assorted flowers)...

Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends and loved ones! Especially the BF!

BLoWiNg tHe CaNdLeS Too SoON ToO fAsT

I still remember...

My 12th bdae celebrated with a much of close pri school frenz at hm home after school. Decked out in our yellow and green pinafore, us giggly girls surround a chocolate ice cream cake from Angie's The Choice. My frenz sang a bdae song den the ceremonious cutting cake time and digging into KFC.

My 21st bdae where I gathered 2 grps of frenz for a pig out session. The primary school grp at Pizza Hut and the sec sch grp at suntec's NYDC (I lurrrrrrrve NYDC!).

And in approximately 3 more days, lao niang is turning 25!

Whoa lau, mid 20s leh...

Time flies...

As much as I love bdae celebrations and all the prezzies, I certainly do not look forward to the numerals of my age advancing at breakneck speed (unless I am aged 18 yrs and below lah).

Ah MEnG

Singapore's grandmama of orangutan has passed away as the Year of the Rat descends upon us.

Living to a ripe old age of 96 human years, the local Zoo's mascot died of old age and was given a grand memorial complete with commemorative books and merchandise which the public swooped up while paying their last respects to her.

It was a touching sight to see her lying motionless but peacefully in a satin white coffin while lotsa human visitors surround her with tears rolling down their cheeks. Apparently a few were quite inconsolable. I think I would be tearing like mad if I was there.

Even though I onli saw Ah Meng like less than 5 times in my over 20 years of age, she was a regular on the papers, Zoo and even school textbooks! It's hard to imagine that she is gone.

I totally cant fathom how her zookeeper would feel. It must have been very hard. I was choking back tears when I saw the distraught look of her long-time zookeeper/supervisor and the reaction displayed by Ah Meng's children and grandchildren.

Very heartbreaking.

Dear Ah Meng,

Although you are gone

You will always be in the heart of every Singaporean and tourist who visited the local Zoo

You have touched the hearts of many and will be fondly remembered

RIP.

ZzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzz....

Flurry...

That's the sole word to describe how I spent my CNY in the Rat Year. The days juz pass by in a flurry and before I knew it, it's Mon -_-III

I think this year is one of the years where I slept the most during CNY (save for last nite where I got a blocked ear; probably due to stuffing myself with too much heaty cny goodies). When others are gambling the day and nite away at the mahjong table or poker cards sessions till the wee hours of the morning, I was happily snoozing in bed lah.

Caught 2 movies - CJ7 and Ah Long Pte Ltd with the bf & his friends and the bf only respectively. I think the latter was a more enjoyabe movie lor.

I think I will stop here. My eyelids are threatening to close liao

*head thumps on table*
