Isn't it a wonder...

How some people who are so downright rude, greedy for a prezzie from someone who loves them dearly. Then abuse them and scarastically respond to the gift given? Only to indirectly sweet talk to soften the sad giver.

Why not I slap such fucking assholes then apologise for slapping them?

Please lah... Go to HELL!

Undeserving brats who think the world adores them just because one person is so devoted and so in luv that she is unwilling to pull away...

You will get your just deserts...

SuBwaY's ThE wAy To Go

Wichie Wichie

Met-up with a long-time pal of mine over 6-inch (dun tink dirrrty) long wichie (short for sandwichies) each at Subway at AMK Hub for dinner ydae.

Had a great time catching up, ranting and raving over assorted life events and of course drooling over those crisp, fragrant and yummi wichies. I had the turkey breast while she had the meatball one. Also opted for the set for some oh soooo chewy cookies (too bad choco chip and peanut butter ones ran out le).

*wink to BF* Want a cookie? Hahahaa *pte joke lah*

Anyway, the Subway outlet at AMK Hub is pretty pathetic coz it is DAMN small. Thankfully, we were blessed with a free table if not the both of us will have to scout for some other place to munch our meals or worst still adjourned to some other makan place. Which wasn't exactly pleasing since the both of us were nursing maniacal Subway cravings.

I have already decided what to have the next time I'm there... The Subway Melt looks reali reali reali good... mmmmmmmmmm~

So after keeping our mouths busy at Subway, it was time our legs to get some exercise as we walked round AMK central and did a lil spot of shopping BUT returned home empty handed as the clothing either din catch our eye or din fit well. DARN.

And I officially declare that I love HONEY MUSTARD sauce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GaStRic

Gastric...

Been afflicted with this since my JC days and hell knew no fury when a bout of Gastric hit ydae just before I knocked off from work.

GREAT.

It was real painful likened to sharp short stabs in my tummy. Was doubling over my desk when no one was looking and I felt like pulling my guts out.

Darn, I have been taking my lunch and dinner regularly man, so why this attack?????????

Tahan-ed the sudden pains as I walked to the Station, hopped on the train to Bishan and popped into 7-11 for a bottle of milk to nurse it. Thank god, it worked a lil and my pains subsided quite abit.

Met with the BF for steamed chicken rice dinner at the famous Kim San Leng coffeeshop and TMNT movie reviewed here.

Am I going to be under the mercy of gastric for the rest of my life???????

CoORdInATed BLaCk

Is it just me or does most people (girls) worship black clothes?

What's the obsession with black apparel?

It's the age old obsession that black is classic and makes us look slimmer.

Gotta admit when I walk into a clothing store, I am like 99 percent of the time attracted to the clothings in black (or at least darker tone ones).

Hence the result of more than half of my fave tops r in BLACK. Having thrown open my wardrobe and going aghast at my black fashion sense, I reali lacked bright and a range of other colours to spruce myself up.

Most of my other clothes are in dark green, brown, and blue (and black of course).

White used to be a fave option till I discovered how FAT I look in them and how fast they turned a dirty white and restricting me from indulging in Laksa and other potentially staining dishes.

At least dark colours can hide those stains *grin* But of course you can bleach your pure/all white clothing if they do get stained. *ponders*

Still, due to this very lagging discovery; I have taken steps to make sure I incorporate cheery colours like buttercup yellow, peach, pink etc into what I clothe myself in. With the exception of jeans which gotta be in dark tones coz I got the elephant thunder thighs. -_-III

Anyway, just take a look around you and you can see many girls decked out in black or even ALL BLACK outfits. And really, BLACK does make one look smaller. All hail the visual deceit of BLACK. It is even the top choice for bag colours since it is so damn hardy and easy to match. BLACK goes/pairs well with almost every or should I DARE say ALL COLOURS.

Even when I am out doing sports I prefer to do my running etc in darker sportswear so I think all the perspiration showing up on light coloured clothing looks damn disgusting and water and white clothing do not mix. Unless you like to show your bra to the public.

Except maybe for our hair. Cause as you can see many of us seem to prefer blondes/shocking pink/deep purple/red and brown for our Asian tresses. Except Midnight black.

My hair used to dyed in pretty loud light brown and equally light highlights but I have toned down over the years to a deeper brown and am rethinking back to going my usual black hair roots (stained by chlorine water from the pool :p) or the most a deep chocolate brown. Hmmmm, frankly loud blonde hair is passe lah... Just like the long hair the F4 boys used to sport. Just look at Vic Chow; his hair is cropped short and so is Vanesse's (duno correct spelling or not; almost mispelt it as Vanessa haha).

So there... Are you a BLACK loving person?

DaMn ThOsE bLoOdY sUcKeRs

I declare a war on mozzies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was so irritated a few nites ago when an invisible mozzie decided it was hungry in the middle of the nite and drew blood from three spots on my right feet. Urgh!

Woke to an incredible itch and a sleepless nite. It is during such times where I wish my 'invention' of a rubber mechanic object to soothe the itch will materialise. *huff*

I could have scrambled up and hunt down that minute bloodsucker but I was just too lazy to switch on the lights and go hunting. Why me? Mum and bro escaped unscathed.

So angry arh!!!!!!!!!

*growl*

Anyway, for those who have been following my blog, 1001 apologise for the spelling errors and grammatical mistakes present in the entries :P

DoWn The FaLLs

Waterfalls...

Both majestic and merciless...

Here are two pics of the waterfall the BF took while enjoying his work trip to The Philippines. No nice shot of the falls coz the rest of the pics he took were blurred. Such a pity. Only have 2 shots that are decent enough.

1. The base of the waterfall with the strong rush of flowing waters and rocks

2. The legend tablet of the Fall. Reads tragic...

I want to see a REAL waterfall too~ :(

Nightmares...

I dreamt of something a few days ago... Hate it when a nightmare hit me and worst still when I had to wake up from it in the middle of nite with the unpleasant and eerie memories still lingering fresh...

You know what I dreamt?

2 bodies (in blur) dropping down from the top of my flat. Eeeek!

In the dream, I was minding my own business and standing with my back to the living room window. When I just suddenly turned my head to face it (maybe wanting to look out at the scenery or something) when this blur of a body plunged down in front of my eyes. It happened in a split second totally unexpected and I could hear the shuddering 'thud' when the fallen body hit the concrete ground.

And before I could even react or scream (in my dream), a second body plunged down. Blurred and rapid, I heard a second 'thud' sound.

Then I awoke in fright.

I hate it! If I had awoken when the sun's up it wouldn't have been THAT bad man.

Had trouble falling back to sleep coz I was so spooked by the dream and forced Whisky to stay by my side. Damn.

Used to dream of people jumping of blocks in the past too but not as vivid as this dream. The scenerios I had in my past dreams were usually witnessing a black figure running across the top of the block and then jumping off it. It was silent with no 'thud' sounds.

But this one... *hair standing on arms*

*shudder*

AdMiRaBLE

Did you catch the Ren Ci Charity Show last night?

I did... I though what the Reverend did was amazing. To pull himself up (while attached to bundles of knotty ropes) 23 storey building is downright nerve wrecking and you need tons and tons of stamina and willpower. Gosh, I would have faltered the moment I reach the first storey haha...

Height phobia aside, the sheer strength to PULL your legs and arms up with 2 ropes up such a towering a building is not for the faint hearted. In fact it makes running up the stairs of a 23 storey building look easy.

I have personally tried inching my way up coarse nylon ropes before and hell it hurts k! I will not have survived. Hence I salute the Reverend for his bravery and determination in the name of helping the disadvantaged at Ren Ci Hospital.

He managed to pull himself up 15 storeys and you could see CLEARLY how damn tired and short of breath plus not to mention strained muscles and aching legs/arms but he persisted. He was also supposed to pull himself up another 8 storeys on a SINGLE ROPE but due to some knotty rope problem, the feat was abandoned.

Gosh, even hardcore athletics in this field commented it is an uphill task that requires lotsa practise, stamina and perserverance.

And the donation calls poured in like an overflowing dam. Garnering like 200 000 calls during the Reverend's stunt.

It is very touching. I don't see XX doing any stunts to garner donation for his ex-charity organisation...

PhOtOs FrOm The PhiLiPpiNeS

The BF's counterparts from the Philippines has emailed over the photos he took whilst he was there as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Shall be posting some generic shots of the place and animals. Can't pose any of those with him in it if not... *eyes BF nervously* haha
Enjoy~
A brillant green peacock with a luscious 'tail'
Sweet sweet pineapples at the pineapple plantation at Bukidnon. BF says the planatation is like as big as S'pore!
At the ostrich farm with over 600 ostriches there. This pic looks a lil scary. Upon closer inspection I realised the male ostrich's head is missing. Headless bird~ Oh yah, the date on the pixs are wrong as you can see... (Note all the pixs below are shot at Cdo.)
Fierce ostrich looks like it's going to peck your guts out... Don't go too near!

Ooooohhh~ Eggs! The BF bought an egg (no chick inside of course) as a souvenir. Cost ard SGD8 . The shell damn hard!

Hmmmm! The butt resembles a plucked turkey about to be roasted into the oven.

Horse carriages!
Crocs! All basking in the sun.
More pics later~ :)

MuNcH sAvOur SwallOw It

S'pore hawker fare...

Yes, a perennial fave topic among fellow singaporeans. Who doesn't love glorious glorious food at affordable prices?

My (personal) pick of dishes that leaves me salivating...

Bak Chor Mee
The sourish vinegar laden bowl of pipping hot noodles doused in chilli, tender melty liver, minced pork and veg will whet your appetite. I absolutely adore 'Zai Lai's' bak chor mee. Gosh, I love mine wet and slurpy and theirs is just perfect! I usually pair such slurpy goodness with either mee kia (skinny yellow noodles) or mee tai mak (fat white rice noodles).

Hainanese Chicken Rice
The all time favourite with the accompany chilli adding much fiery flavour to tender roasted or steamed chicken. Yum! Love the savoury sauce drenched over fragrant rice topped with corriander. The liver and greens are also lip-smacking good!

AND my latest craving of the month:

Medium Rare Steaksssssssssssssssssssssss~
Damn, the soft, juicy reddish meat sliced neatly by a sharp knife... Poked it and watch as the jucies spurt out in a yummi dance. Placed it gingerly in your mouth and chew... Allow the burst of fresh beef envelope every tastebud... Pure gastronmic orgasm...Aaaaahhhhhh

I want! I want!

Very excited to see him AND excited aka greedy (:p) to see what goodies he bought back from the Philippines...

Saw the galore of photos he emailed and I couldn't help giggling at some of the (VERY) comical shots...

It must have been quite an experience for him since it is first trip with so much to prepare, so much to expect and all the unexplored... Hmmmmm~

Just received a piece of surprise news from my mum which is causing hyperventaliate~ *grins widely*

触摸

I just love this song...Had it on repeat mode for ages ydae afternoon...

WaLkinG StReEt HaZarDS

There are just some people I hate to meet on the streets....

It's always a wonder to me why some people think smoking is darn ultra cool. It's obvious they do think that way. Why? Some just perched their ciggies between their fingers as though it's the latest IT gadget or something with that smug look plastered on their faces.

Am I deemed more inferior coz I don't smoke?????????

Personally I have nothing against smokers, I mean it's their choice/preference if they want to smoke but those who have the SICK mentality that it's a symbol of coolness or style should go dunk their smoke filled heads in a pail of ice-cold water!!!!!!!!!!!

And please don't puff smoke into my face k? So irritating when you just had a bath and ended up getting engulfed in some smoker's smelly smoke and getting stained. Urgh! This girl who lives in my area once (i assumed is accidentally) flicked her ciggie at me lor... WTF!

People who jay walk and specifically take their own sweet time and swagger with the poor and very polite driver waiting deserves to have their heads dunked too. We all jay walk at times but can't one hurry up when you are obviously in the wrong and some drivers are just too considerate to honk at you?

Doncha have the basic courtesy to walk faster or let em pass by you then continue your jay walking??????

Worst is the SICK mentality that no matter what pedestrians rule and the cars will not hit them down. Wait till they meet a drunk driver then they will know...

Can't stand such people....

LeChERoUs UnCLe

Witnessed this perverted man on a bicycle...

Was walking from my home to the MRT Station this morning to walk, where I caught sight of this man (probably in his fifties) riding a bicycle trailing (closely) behind this young girl (maybe in her early 20s).

What is damn obvious that he is lecherous old man is that the girl was dressed ala jap school girl style in a white shirt and short grey skirt. The back of her skirt was so short it just covered her bum and her skirt wil sway as she walk hence providing a possible chance of revealing her inner wear if she walks too fast.

This old man, who was on a bike, had many opportunities to cycle past her (since the pavement wasn't packed at all; there was plenty of space to cycle ahead). His actions were so unlike the usual cyclers I have come acrossed. Many will just ring the bicycle bell to ask people to let em pass and not trailed behind.

This man just PURPOSELY cycled damn slow and made sure he cycles BEHIND THE GIRL, ALL THE WHILE WITH HIS LECHEROUS EYES STUCK TO HER BUM AND SHORT SWISHING SKIRT.

I was walking behind em observing this. At first I thought I may have wronged him BUT....

PERVERTED OLD MAN.

Should have filmed it all down but too bad my mobile's ancient and I am too poor to buy a cam soooo...

p/s: The BF's trip is extended to another 2 more daes... :(

MisSeS

The BF will be making a company trip to the Pilippines tomorrow afternoon till Sunday...

Will definitely miss him lots over this period of 5 days. Can't help nagging at him to pack his stuff early and not leave it all to the last minute. *you know I mean well doncha?* :p

Anyway, it's the first time we will be apart for such a long time and coz he will cooped/tuck away in some ulu area, I hope he will take real good care of himself. Dear, your tummy pretty sensitive so dun anyhow shove food into ya mouth k?

Have a safe flight and I'll be praying for you....

Many misses~

NoKIA mUsiC bUS

Was a nite owl...

The early sleeper in me took a 2 day sabbtical over the weekend. Was out for a company dinner at Summer Palace at The Regent and a KTV session at Cineleisure till the wee 2am on Friday. Gosh, was already shutting down by mid-nite but got to keep my eyes (and brain) wide alert.

Shared a cab back with a colleague and fell asleep the instant my head touched my soft comforting pillow. Whisky was damn elated to see me back home and was eagerly jumping up and down for kisses and hugs.

Sat was spent in town with BF and friends and another round of KTV in orchard Party World. Sang till past mid-night and took the NR home. Was again totally tired and burnt out.

Oh yes, on sat bf and me took this damn cool nokia music bus and was totally blown away by it pub-like cool interior and white leather seats. There are onli 3 such buses on the roads of singapore and hell we were lucky to board one of em. It was on bus 162 service. Veri nice!

See here for the cool pixs of the interior. :)

YuCk

I am quite a non-fusser when it comes to food...

BUT there are some food I just cant stomach.

The harmless looking pea pod veg. Yuck! This is one veg I hate crunching on. Give me lettuce, leek, cabbage etc anytime but not this...

Bitter gourd - kaoz, so bitter... My tastebuds just cant accept it. But I heard that there ways of cooking or choosing the veg that aren't too bitter. And can in fact turn out delish. *shurg* Guess I will continue hating it till someone cooks it for me.

Some people just cant fathom why I hate steamed chicken skin. I love my chicken rice - be it steamed or roasted but I cant swallow the skin (though I will swallow it if forced). Do you know how fatty that jelly looking piece of skin?
Urgh! Yuck! Double Yuck!

Kaoz, it's been raining since ydae...

I absoutely loathe rainy daes (unless I am tucked in bed on a non-work day).

I hate getting my legs of my jeans damp

I hate getting muddy water splashed on my jeans

I hate cold cold weather

I hate bringing brolly out

I hate getting squashed against fellow drenched passengers and their damp bags and dripping brollys

I hate slippery ground

I hate the inconvenience rainy daes bring about

I hate the lazy and sleepy vibe during rainy daes
