ThE GoLd TrEaTmEnT

The Gold Class experience.

Attended Avatar's screening at Vivo Gold Class for a company outing.

It was moi's first time watching a movie for a ticket price tagged at $28 per pax. How is Gold Class different from the norm $10 ticket?

1) Comfy seats ala massage chairs where u can control the angle and level of the back rest and leg rest.

2) Clean blankets provided should u start to freeze out during the show

3) Food sent to your seat.

4) Exclusive loo in the lounge area for all Gold Class movie-goers.

5) A smaller theatre capacity with an average of 8 seats per row.

6) Nice table to place your food on instead balancing it on your lap.

Even though we were seated in the 2nd row from the front, the view was fanastic due to the adjustable back rest. I would have fallen asleep if not for the great movie. Very comfortable!

FrieNdS

I am grateful for the bunch that I have.

In fact my circle of friends - the ones whom I can joke senselessly with - are from my secondary school and the only bunch that I meet up with.

I am no social butterfly. I do not have countless groups of friends to fill my every waking hour.

But these girls are more than enough and I thank god for having made me missed the mark in all my 6 choices of secondary schools and posted me to gyss to befriend the group.

---------------------------------------------------

We had a X'mas gift exchange yesterday at Tomato land hub and I got this real cute Tofu- guy lamp from one of the gals. And also a shower of bag charms and lovely scented handcream.

Thank you Santarinas :)

Let's do a ichiban meal soon in 2010 ok? I organize :D

rUsH

Was at PS for a spot of shopping.

Everyone seemed to be scurrying around doing the last-weekend-before-X'mas shopping bouts. The place was packed such that I cant even squeeze myself past some strolling couple to get my stuff at my own pace.

Not to mention taiwan stars - Jay Chou and Lin Chi Ling were making an appearance at said location for a fan meet & greet session to plug their latest movie to hit the silver screens.

Then there was a snaking queue at the customer service counter to redeem X'mas gifts and lucky draw entries. And the computing system had to screw up for a moment.

By the time I hopped on the train for home, I was mentally and physically drained.

TiMe IS eSSeNCe

The evening seems shorter. Everytime I get home from work, had a bath, ate my dinner and did some nit nacks it would be time to hit the sack.

It's a struggle getting some practise done.

My left and right hand are still not in sync at times. My teacher has commented that my left hand is too stiff. And practise practise is the way to go.

My basic note reading is still not as smooth as what I would like to.

But time is such a luxury. (besides, I had to lighten the weight of my fingers in fear of disturbing my neighbours with the rendition of 'Jingle Bells' and assorted repeatedly with some screw ups in between at night). I try to hit the keys for an hour everyday if I can but sometimes only scrap by with a 20 minute practise session *guilty*

The thought of going for the exam practical next year is already sending shivers done my spine.

WhiCh LeVeL To Go?

I had the weirdest of dreams yesterday nite.

The plot started with my entering a building and then into a lift whereby a choice of different levels of buttons to press.

I cant' rem which I pressed but I knew I was about to enter different levels of the spirtual world.

Walking out of the lift, a sight of people lingering around greeted me. Except that they are spirits in the form of humans.

Trying to maintain a sense of calm, I seeked out a place which is supposed to be like a temple but not exactly fronting a usual temple structure. I met a guy who is like the temple keeper and told me to go back to the life and press the button back to level 1.

When I woke up, I couldn't recollect if I went back to the lift or did the dream end abruptly at the instruction scene.

Weird.

LiFe TrAnSfOrMeRs 2

One of my fave variety shows on local telly. Probably also one of the few where I could plonk my butt down straight for an hr (inclusive of commericals) and experience waves of sympathy, sadness, happiness and contentment all at the same time.

Helmed by hosts Christopher Lee and Quan Yi Feng, the second series continues on the mission to transform the less than desirable home environments of the under-privileged. Many such as yesterday's family (The father was sick with diabetics and other high blood related illness and the mother was suffering from depression with a mentality of a child) was ridden with financial problems due to a parent or both being physically disabled or sick hence devoid of work to earn and upkeep the living standards of the occupants.

With such neglect, many of the homes are overrun with roaches, fleas and other blood-sucking and disease-causing pests. In addition, the places are usually sparsely furnished with paint-peeling walls and children who are unfortunately deprived of what they should enjoy - a happy childhood.

Yesterday's child only wished for a football and it was the only thing in his 11 years ever asked for from his dad. It made me shameful to think how much stuff I was ridiculously badgering my mum for and how lucky kids nowadays are. Many at such an age have a gadget display ranging from PSPs to mobiles to netbooks.

The hosts and gracious volunteers set work to setting things right from cleaning up the dire state of the homes. Including getting bountiful 'surprises' from hidden roaches and crouching six-legged insects and the like.

I never fail to feel humbled and appreciate what I have. How often have one despise or even rant at what one was given?

We tend to rail coz we constantly compare ourseleves to others. Forgetting how much some people who slipped through the cracks have it so so so so much worse. Who would shine a light for them? Who will lend a hand to help them up?

Life Transformers is that light and hand. At the end of the show, the crew even presented the boy with a new football and a cake to celebrate his coming 12th birthday. He was moved to tears while his dad was struggling to contain his. Me? I think I was sobbling like a baby.

Do catch it on channel 8, every monday at 8pm - 9pm.

It is seriously a show to watch and stop being a spoilt brat.

The OthEr WoM(e)n

It's pretty insane when Tiger Woods alleged affair-ress confessed to the media that she thought that she was the sole 'other woman' in his life besides his wife.

With such an illustrious sports career and wealth amassed from tournaments and endorsements, do you believe he will just have ONE other woman in his life?

Just pure naivety?

I am apalled.

Hey girl, are you telling the truth or trying to paint an innocent image of yourself amidst this 2009 sporting icon scandal?

The Big BLack pOLishEd OnE

It's finally here!

Taking up 3/4 length of one of the living room walls, the dining/leisure table is now squashed to one side haha.

And the funniest thing is how Whisky keeps going to reflective black surface and stares at it to see us being reflected in it.

He will angle his head and watch us (reflected) giggling from the sofa at his antics.

HOw DaRe U BiTE mOi

For the past few days, some unidentified insect(s) has/have been making its mark(s) on me.

Endured like 6 - 8 bites on my arms and back overnight(s).

And its not a mozzie bite.

Totally freaked mi out that I dreaded sleeping now.

Resorted to insect repellent.
