I HaD A DrEam

Slept but still feeling tired.

Why? Coz I was busy running up flights of stairs, climbing pipes and swinging over balconies.

In my dream that is.

It is probably my 4th or 5th dream concerning being late for an exam paper/missed an exam paper.

I was brought back to the location of my sec school except it had a new coat of paint and was now in a fresh orange instead of blue. So i was told that there will be a paper at 5pm. Around 4 plus, I had ended an assembly in the school hall. Thinking it was still early and I had half an hr to spare, I strutted to the 2nd level loo (somehow in the dream, I had heard rumours that the 1st floor loo was haunted.) and waited in line for my cubicle.

As it turns out, the queue was excruciating s.l.o.w. The next moment I looked at my watch, it read 5pm!

Imagine my shock. I practically speed up flights of stairs to my classroom. The school grounds was practically deserted. (I assume all the students had gone in their classes and were bending their heads over deep in answering exams qns). Along the frantic rush, I met a couple of other students who were like me late.

Togther we helped each other to climb pipes and jump over balconies (while keep a wary eye out that we do not fall). The hilarious thing was, my classroom was situtated on the 4th floor with flights of stairs all the way up. But in the dream we actually had to attempt stunts to get to the locations. What can I say. Dreams are such.

Anyways, after a heart pumping session of sprinting all ova, we finally reached the brightly lit classroom. To discover....

We were just in time to collect our exam time schedule.

And so it turns out it wasnt exam paper time but just mere collection of time schedule.

WTF.

NDP NE 2009

For the first time in a looooong time.

I enjoyed the mass display and performance at this year's NDP.

Although the fireworks display was a bummer (guess it was NE show hence the amount of sparklers lit was expectedly gonna be incomparable to the actual day's), the rest of the show and the 4 hosts' exuberance were a winner.

DiD yOU sMeLL it?

Someone had a bad tummy.

On tues at the Wisma Giodarno outlet.

The bf and me were browsing thru the jeans sale and I was causally looking thru the rack of jeans when I spotted the pair that he had his eye on a couple of wks ago.

Happily plucking it off the rack, I waved it enthusiastically when he emerged from the changing room.

He walked towards mi with a smile at the sight of the 'beloved' pair.

And he got closer.

I was close to opening my mouth and say the magic words: "Got your size. Quick go try it on!"

An uncle at that very instance very casually floated pass us a rack behind me.

Then we both smelt it.

The bf said something to the effect: Heck the jeans and get outt here.

It was a FRESH burst of green smoke assimilation.

It's been awhile since we inhaled such an intense 'fragrance' of a stranger.

You can guess if he bought that pair of jeans or not at the wisma outlet in the end.

BuBbLe TeA

Rem the bubble trend that was bubbling everywhere a couple of years back till it burst? Got hooked the yam flava from this bubble tea franchise called 'Quickly'. In fact I rem at that time (in my JC years) there were 2 major players in the bubble tea battle - Quickly and Happy Cup.

I personally favoured the former. But I was honestly not a fan of the pearls though. Hence in the later part of my bubble tea drinking days, I often requested for pearl-less bubble tea :D

Since the bubble burst with a number of bubble tea shops sprouting and closing, Sweet Talk has emerged as player to stay with many outlets both in town and neighbourhood areas. But I have not found it tasty enough to keep mi hooked.

Until...

I discovered this shop in AMK called Koi Bubble Tea with a very taiwan-feel (heh, it orginated from taiwan I found out) and boy were the pearls yummi.

It was so good that it surpassed the yam bubble tea that I was addicted to in my teenage years.

Do try it out. They also have outlets at:

Marine Parade: Blk 83 Marine Parade Central #01-562

Toa Payoh: Blk 190 Toa Payoh Central #01-562
Chinatown: People’s Park Complex #01-16

Shake up with Nokia Comes with Music!

Now, how many of you out there take public transport to work?

How many times on a daily basis have you encountered packed trains/buses at the entrance during peak hours?

How many times have you tried to squeeze your body in only to stare helplessly as the passengers (in the bus/train) stoutly refused to move in even though there are like empty pockets of space in the middle or at the back.

How many times have you been late for work coz of that?

How many times have you wondered if there were some unseen beings lingering around those empty pockets?

I for sure wondered about all the above on a typical morning and evening rush hour. And here are my feelings and rants about it. I feel especially grouchy when it happens on Monday. Only music can soothe my frazzled nerves.
