English MTVs in KTVs

One of the grouses I have with the local KTVs, is how hilarious (or ridiculous) the MTVs of English songs.

Was at KBox with the BF for a dinner KTV session and being very much enamoured with 'Angel' by Sarah Mclachlan and 'With or without you' by U2, we decided to put or pipes to the test.

The result was each song did not survive more than a quarter through before we gave up in hilarious fits. The accompanying MTVs were pieces of joke -_-III

'Angel' was sung to the video of an idyllic island with a bikini clad babe strolling around. Very 'angellic' indeed. U2 was no better, the video showed a scenery of a lush mountain with chinese words inscribed on a plate or something and a couple teasing each other.

I almost died of hysterics.

Why can't they broadcast proper MTVs??

Singing english songs in local KTVs is mission impossible for now.

Feel so sleepy. My eyes are threatening to drift off to a haze.

My brain constantly shifts to auto-pilot mode (aka dreamland).

My expression still and stoned.

My makan 'stamina' has been reduced greatly.

Went to Shin Minori for jap buffet supposedly to gorge on my fave mixed platter of sashimi but guess what?

I left the 3rd round portions more than half untouched.

To the extent of not even being able to stuff a teeny silver slice of fish into my mouth.

mOrnIng PiSs

An unpleasant encounter at the cash deposit machine at the Hub this morning that made me want to auntie-bash *sizzles*

As you can see from the above diagram, there are 2 cash deposit machines situated at the POSB outlet i was at. Both machines were occupied (the unreasonable auntie was doing her business at the machine on the RIGHT). So i just stood behind the lady using the machine on the LEFT. Around 2 minutes later, Lady A arrived and proceeded to stand behind the unreasonable auntie (let's call her UA; lazy to type in full).

This UA, who mumbled that the deposit machine on the RIGHT had problems updating her passbook, outrageously went to take her place RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME WITHOUT BATTING AN EYELID.

WTF!

I got a tad irritated coz i was in rush to deposit my $$ and hop on the train for work. So i lightly tapped her arm and told her POLITELY that I was queueing and she should take her place behind (note: there wasn't any queue and could just stand behind me; wouldn't have taken her more than 5 minutes for her turn after me).

This f**king UA, then said to me (in chinese): I came here first what. you can later. why should I queue behind u?

WTF x a million times!

I so wanted to kill her. Luckily, Lady A finished doing hers on the machine on the RIGHT,  i went on to deposit my cash (I was still fuming) and told the UA (in chinese): like that oso can?!

And this UA still have the cheek to go on about her being first and blah blah why should she go behind me.

May her own Karma do her in.

WTF.

What the heck is wrong with the POSB ATMs this morning?

I was looking to withdraw cash this morning at 8plus AM and the whole of AMK Hub's POSB ATMs are down!

Huffed and puffed my way to another mall near my working place and to dismally find the POSB ATM was also down.

WTF.

Thankfully, I had another bank's card with me.

Universal Studios Singapore

It was a hot hot hot Saturday when I trooped off to the USS with the bf. Such that by night fall, I 'suffered' tan line on my arms and thighs (I was decked in a tee and shorts - honestly regretted not going in the sleevless tank).
Still, I was grateful for the ultra fine weather, had prayed anxiously that the sky will not pour upon us and we were blessed with sunny rays. Drank quite abit of water and cooled ourseleves with sticks of Walls tangy lime and vanilla popsicles.

Stepped foot into USS at 10am and went 0_0 coz the tickets were all sold out. Ours was bought off a special price for a coporate outing that the BF's sis company was organising. The place was comfortably packed though certain attraction queues were outrageously staggering. There's this Jurassic Canopy Flyer ride which lasted all of less than a minute but one would have to queue for at least an hour to get on it.

I skipped the above initially coz it was just to crazy and I did not want to waste an hour queueing for a less-than-a-min ride when I still got loads yet uncovered at USS. Thankfully near 6plus in the evening, the queue at the Canopy Flyer was signifcantly lesser and we only had to queue for 10mins to get on the ride. It was quite fun and I was shrieking 'OMG!' continuously till I think the whole park can hear me as it was less crowded at that time (the attraction rides in the theme park closed around 7pm).

Anyways, the first series of many shots taken. Will elaborate more on each area in USS in the upcoming entries. Stay tune!
