WorMS. oPeN WaRfArE

Worms.
Slippery slimey creatures that makes my hair stand.
Something I used to feed my fishes with.
Something which helps to aid soil and a friend of farmers.

Never knew they can actually be cute (animated of course)!

Worms. Open Warfare.

Spied this game in my bro's psp (where's mine????????) and outta curiosity, I pressed the start button and worm my way to a battlefield ala a ant maze into this game.

It started off darn lame coz I could make no head or tail (pun unintended) of this game. We have like 2 camps - Marine (you) and Clowns (the enemy) using an array of weapons such as shotguns etc to kill off rival worms situated in different locations.

Along the way, crates of additional weapons and health pts are unloaded in mid-sky to the territory where every worm can access it.

Out of the 5 games played, I onli won like the grand total of ONE game. -_-III

Weapons I love to wipe out the Clowns - homing missles and the machine gun

Strangely addictive game even though I suck at it.

ApPLause PLeAsE

Caught this channel 8 show 'Life Transformers' and was pretty blown away by the less-privileged people featured in the show.

Hosted by Christopher Lee and Quan Yi Feng plus a host of volunteers from students to professionals setting aside their books and suits to take up mops, brooms and other household items to scrub, wash toilets, paint and double up as movers for families who lives in less then ideal home situations.

The latest epi showcased a family of 4 (4 siblings where 2 were mentally slow) and the 2 young kids of one of the sibling living in a 4-room flat overun with lotsa garbage, roaches, ants, lizzies and other pests. U could see the female volunteers screaming in a flurry everytime they see a lizzie scurry past or the piles of roach eggs. It was a sight that took everyone by total shock.

The flat also reeked a musty overpowering smell which turned everyone ghastly white. Anyway everyone was raring to go to and soon even the most horrible toilet u will ever seen in your life with stubborn brown stains and such. Worse then a public loo someone commented in the show.

It was heartwarming to see everyone including the crew helping the family to clean, clear d pests and look for schools for the kids.

A thumbs up show i recommend everyone to watch. On Mons at 8pm on channel 8.

Mezza9 hi-Tea bUffET

Trooped off down to the Grand Hyatt for the Mezza9 hi-tea buffet on Sat.

Had prepped my growling tummy for an afternoon of food, food and more FOOD.

Alas, it was not to be.

Mezza9 is located on the 2nd floor of Hyatt and is lovely cosy and comfortably lit restaurant with immaculate service and friendly service staff. The music was relaxing lounge tunes. The bf and I stayed there for like 4 hours and were pretty reluctant to leave. We could laze and talk all day there. But of course cannot lah.

Anyway, both of us were nursing rumbling tummies but the food that we could fill our pitless stomaches were pathetic lah. Only got 2 'stations; we can pig out. The first station has the below food to stick your knives/forks/spoons into:

1) Oysters (small ones)
2) Prawns
3) Mussels
4) 2 types of soups - Chicken Broth and Pumpkin
5)Fried rice
6) 3 types of dishes to accompany your fried rice -stir fry chicken, fruit salad and stir fry duck
7) 2 types of salad
8) 2 stypes of sushi (din appeal to mi. moi no go for sushi during buffets thank you.)
9) 5 types of fruit juices

The other 'station' was the dessert station with:
1) About 3 types of assorted cakes - strawberry/oreo cheesecake, coffee and choc
2) Rose flavoured macroons
3)Egg custard pie
4) A choc fountain with accompanying strawberries, honeydew, mango and marshmellows

No sashimi at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*clutches heart and faints*

So, I ended up bingeing on oysters and prawns lor

Sad. Very sad.

Works out to $45 per pax after GST and service charge.

Should have gone for jap buffet.

Gas SuIcIdE

Someone wanted to gas himself/herself to death ydae.

An unidentified unit in the block opposite mine emitted strong stenches of gas during the wee hours (around 4am and also spelt the halt of my sleep) this morning. My mum was woken by the stench and was frantically going from room to room to sniff out the source of the smell. But it wasn't coming from our unit and soon she heard shouts of 'Faster! Faster!' in malay coming from outside.

Took a peep out the window and saw a crowd gathering downstairs and soon ambulances and police cars were shrilling their way to the concerned block.

Mi and my brother were awoken by the shrills and the bro was tsk-ing away at the commotion coz he needs to be up early for school. Before resorting to closing his window and using a pillow to cover his head. I kaypohed abit before trying to fall asleep to no avail.

Sleepy now...

IkEa - DiNE aNd slacK COrNeR

Made a trip down to the Alexander Ikea ydae with the bf and pal. Frankly, my most fave part of the whole of Ikea is their restaurant. Hahaha

Just settle down with a cuppa (albeit, it's like damn crowded 99% of the time lah), order a plateful of swedish meatballs and some chicken wings and with the right company, I can just spend the rest of my day there.

Indeed, ydae was one of those moments where the 3 of us could just stay there for long yakking and digging into our food and trying to make our $$ worth of the coffee (need to drink 3 cups k).

We got stared by an auntie when we decided to get refills coz we weren't ready to leave our high table yet hahaha... heck lah, we were feeling extremely unfriendly ydae when it comes to giving up our table :p

I wanna go there again for meatballs and coffee!!!!!

LoSt

Lost bee.

Sighted aboard the bus today on the way to work.

Zooming around looking for an exit to no avail in the packed airconditioned bus.

People were swaying to avoid crashing face-to-face with the honey creature. Suddenly feel like eating waffles drizzled with honey :D

HeAR tHe HoLLeR

And she went on and on...

There is this unidentified mad grandma hollering her lungs out day and nite for the past few days. Have not seen her (and do not want to ever) but she has been making herself heard screaming profanities and other assorted scoldings in English and Malay.

The worst was on Saturday nite where she practically went on and on till the wee hours. Thankfully, from where my unit was her voice was barely audible except a few sentence which were a few notch higher then normal. I wonder how her fellow neighbours beared with it.

Sunday nite she went hoarse but still persisted in her scoldings.

And ydae she was back again with her voice stronger then ever. Aroused from my slp around 2am and heard her hollering a few sentences before keeping quiet again. Fell back into dreamland.

It's sad.

cOokieeeeeeeeeee~

The Cookie Museum.

A lavish Victorian style cookie boutique at The Esplanade made my jaws dropped with their extensive array of flavoured cookies such as the Unqiuely Singapore - Ikan Bilis, Hae Bee Hiam, Nasi Lemak, fruit ones like -Mango and Cranberry (my fave), Mango and Kiwi, Berry Lite (top seller), tea leave range - rose and lavendar with per tin prices from 20 0dd dollar to 30 odd dollar. On average around 20 odd pieces of cookie in a tin.

The bf bought a tin of the mango and cranberry which cost $35 and although it's a tad pricey, the cookies tasted realli gd with generous bits of cranberry and mango. The quaint paperbag was reali pretty too :D

The taste is lengendary. Yup I agree ;D
