Mezza9 hi-Tea bUffET

Trooped off down to the Grand Hyatt for the Mezza9 hi-tea buffet on Sat.

Had prepped my growling tummy for an afternoon of food, food and more FOOD.

Alas, it was not to be.

Mezza9 is located on the 2nd floor of Hyatt and is lovely cosy and comfortably lit restaurant with immaculate service and friendly service staff. The music was relaxing lounge tunes. The bf and I stayed there for like 4 hours and were pretty reluctant to leave. We could laze and talk all day there. But of course cannot lah.

Anyway, both of us were nursing rumbling tummies but the food that we could fill our pitless stomaches were pathetic lah. Only got 2 'stations; we can pig out. The first station has the below food to stick your knives/forks/spoons into:

1) Oysters (small ones)
2) Prawns
3) Mussels
4) 2 types of soups - Chicken Broth and Pumpkin
5)Fried rice
6) 3 types of dishes to accompany your fried rice -stir fry chicken, fruit salad and stir fry duck
7) 2 types of salad
8) 2 stypes of sushi (din appeal to mi. moi no go for sushi during buffets thank you.)
9) 5 types of fruit juices

The other 'station' was the dessert station with:
1) About 3 types of assorted cakes - strawberry/oreo cheesecake, coffee and choc
2) Rose flavoured macroons
3)Egg custard pie
4) A choc fountain with accompanying strawberries, honeydew, mango and marshmellows

No sashimi at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*clutches heart and faints*

So, I ended up bingeing on oysters and prawns lor

Sad. Very sad.

Works out to $45 per pax after GST and service charge.

Should have gone for jap buffet.
