KuiShiN-bO

Another jap buffet place to fill your bottomless pits...

Presenting: dong, dong, dong... Kuishin-bo!

Sink your teeth into a wide array of raw seafood, grilled meats, sushi, steaming paper steamboats, snowcrabs, scallop & ginseng porridge, soups, soft ice cream, sweet desserts and lots more. Headed down to Suntec City (Sky Garden level) to pig out with the bf on Sat on my bdae!

(you choose to dine inside or outside the restaurant but no worries, either way there's airon since 'outside' is still inside suntec city)

Both of us were hungry as hell and joined a slowly snaking queue at 530pm (Kuishin-bo opens at 530pm sharp till 10pm). Got a nice side table and on first sight, the place was clean and comfortable lit spacious restaurant. Different counters prettily piled with food are at your disposal to pile what you love on your plates. There's also a wide array of tea and other drinks to choose from.

The bf and ate forgo the Early Bird special where one eats from 530pm to 7pm as we did wanna be restrained by a time limit. Anyway here are the pics:

(in the inside of kuishin-bo)

(My must-have: chwanmushi! Photo credit: the bf)

(raaaaaaaw food! I love the crab corn salad at the side! The sashimi was a dissappointment though)

More raaaaaaaaaaw food! Am not a fan of the snow crab there)

This is interesting. In Kuishin-bo, there are intervals when there's a "dong dong dong" announcement, the first 20 customers who lined up at one of the counters will get a serving of the daily special. I heard that there is 3 such specials :p
The cheese and garlic lobster below was one of the specials. But it tastes too overpowering for mi (and a lil bitter too)

The delicious mocha ice cream. I had 2 cups of this! You can choose to sprinkle choc chips, raisins, tadpole-like jelly or peanuts over it. There's also vanilla flavour too!

Dessert! I love the white choc pralines. The fruit tarts were only so-so lah.

On the whole, kuishin-bo's ambience was lovely but the food didn't really live up to what I heard or expected.
Works out to $46 per pax for a weekend dinner.
