X'MaS DiNnEr At MoOnFiSh

Ahhhhh...Unearthed a fantastic pasta and seafood restaurant ydae (read: credit Christel)

We girls/ladies met up for a pre-X'mas dinner at MoonFish Pasta and Seafood restaurant to pig out. Prior to that we headed down to Suntec's Carrefour to pick n choose Christel's ham 'bolster' gift but a pity they were a tad too big for her loved ones (and herself) to devour so we went to Giant at Marina Sq ( where MoonFish is also located) and saw the perfect X'ma Honey Glazed Ham.

Grabbed it and we scooted off to makan (coz I was reali STARVING and my legs were giving way). The restaurant was lovely, tucked in a corner at the front entrance of Marina Sq (somewhere opposite Breeks and beside this chinese restaurant).

Sat down and Christel presented me with this:

wow, like ang pow!

Yes, just for me me me, onli me! Hence I became like this after getting 'my
precious' aka Metro voucher in my hands:

Can you read 'I am a shopaholic on my face' ?

And Christel wanted to devour her 'bolster' there and then at the restaurant:

Smells and feels darn nice and yummi!

I was practically salivating over the menu and took on Christel's recommendation of the Lobster & Chicken $23.95 - Lobster & Chicken with butter cream sauce, served with spaghetti aglio-olio. Omg! The description was yummi enough with lavish key words like 'Lobster', Butter cream sauce' which already won me over from my inital choice of 5-star cod fish. Sorrie fishie.

Christel had the Seafood Paradise $18.95 a delicious combination of squid, mussel, scallop and prawn, with shiitake mushrooms, sautéed in fresh garlic, olive oil on a bed of spaghetti. Had initally ordered Crayfish Di Mozarella $18.95 Sautéed crayfish in a delicious blend of Italian chunky Neapolitan sauce topped with mozzarella cheese, served with spaghetti aglio olio but there were no crayfish available ydae. Shucks.

We also ordered the heavenly and tenderish Escargot "Moonfish" $11.95 - Garden snails, stuffed in mushroom caps, wood-oven baked in herbs garlic butter topped with parmesan cheese. It has been ages since I ate escargot and I wolfed down 5 of the 6 escargots coz Christel wasn't having much of an appeitite coz of her F.L.U. It has came with a basket of garlic bread.

We end off our very successful meal with a nice dessert in the form of the Homemade Tiramisu $5.50 - Finger sponge layered mascarpone & zabaglione flavoured with espresso & kahlau. Nice. I was contented and happily patting my tummy. Yum! Had glasses of ice water to wash everything down.

And guess what? The bill only cost us $24 per pax coz Christel has the UOB one-for-one promo. Yeah! What a great deal! In fact I wanna go there again...Craving for the pasta... *dreaming*

Log on to www.moonfish.com.sg. Gotta try this. The food looks even yummier live!
