MoOnFiSh FeAst

Had a feast again at Moonfish (Marina Sq) on Fri after work with my colleagues.

There were a total of 8 of us there and boy we ordered lotsa food and stuffed ourselves to the brim. I was like full till the tip of my throat and my tummy bulged ( heng, worn loose top on that day).

Here the lowdown of wat we ordered and the verdict:

Was planning to have Escargots but a pity there non avail on Fri *shucks* Was so disappointed lor.

In place we had Moonfish Fried Calamari Rings $8.95 - signature dish -
Lightly breaded calamari ring fried until crisp golden brown, served with spicy Neapolitan sauce. It was very tender yet springy and lightly breaded. *thumbs up*

Caesar Salad $9.95 (Full) Romaine & Iceberg lettuce, black olive, cherry tomato, garlic herb croutons, fresh egg & parmesan cheese and Asean Salad $13.95 (Full) Salad mix, egg, pineapple diced, tossed with spicy Thai dressing, topped with crispy chicken were served up next. Cesear Salad was pretty okay but the Asean Salad was a nice change from the usual. The leaves were fresh and crunchy and the chicken was darn lip smacking good. Paired with the spicy thai dressing, it was a twist that will leave you drooling.

We also ordered the Clam Chowder $3.95 but it was diluted and pretty bland. *thumbs down* I can find any clams in it. Probably minced up or something.

For the main course we ordered the (and my fave) yummy Lobster & Chicken $23.95 (2 servings), Moonfish Sizzler Combo $25.95 Fruits of the sea, 4 types of shellfish with marinated onions & bell peppers, served with spaghetti in a sizzling hot plate, with your choice of spicy Neapolitan or white wine sauce. We had it in both the spicy Neapolitan and White wine sauce. Many of us agreed that the Neapolitan one tasted the better. More flavourful while the white wine one paled in comparison in terms of taste and was a tad to spicy for me.

The
Lamb Shank $22.95 Braised lamb shank in chef' spices with chianti wine served with mashed potato, Italian vegetables & black pepper sauce was tender (meat) but the 'yang sao' aka lamb aftertaste was overpowering in the mouth. Need glasses of ice water and mint to wash it away~

There was a one for one beverage deal on Fri so I ordered the
Italian Sunset $4.95 - A mix of refreshing mango, orange, fresh lime and lace of grenadine syrup to sweeten your taste bud. Pretty nice, and very refreshing. I love the vibrant orange and red combo colours.

For desert, we had the creamy dreamy Homemade Tiramisu $5.50, Green Tea Cheesecake $5.50 and the sinful Chocolate Brownie $5.50 With vanilla ice-cream & hot fudge. Fattening man! Haha, love the tiramisu the most.

Full is definitely an understatement. We were all so lazy to pluck our butts off the seat and chatted till the closing hours of 10pm at the restaurant. In fact we were the last customers still lingering in the restaurant.

I love the place, must bring bf there the next time to dine. *smiles*
