Met with the bf's frenz for dinner over the weekend and one of them made a very interesting analogy of how a guy courts a gal.

In his words, courting a gal is like fishing. Majority or most of the guys he came across (inclusive of himself) prefer fishing with a single rod and relish the experience of spending time waiting for a fish to bite the dangled bait.

It's the process of this waiting game that intrigues him.

The minority (probably to-date the only he has met) prefers to cut-short time and instead throws a huge net over the waters to haul in not one, not two but many fishes. Then takes his time to pick and choose. Salmon? Check. Trout? Check. Tuna? Check. Hmmm~ maybe the Yellow Tail will do too.

So what kind of fisherman/woman are you?

It struck me just recently that how 2 unfamilar individuals can actually entertain the exact same thoughts at a particular moment.

An example would be the display of impromptu 'tango' dance face-to-face while crossing or strolling on the road. I am sure everyone of us have encountered a scene whereby our paths collide with another.

We decided to move left to make way for the other party to move on but alas the other party think the same thing and the process may at time repeat itself for a couple of times.

Both will either

1) Laught it off

2) Feel awkward

3) Feel slightly pissed (for those in a hurry)

I gOt My New PasSpoRt

Went to collect my newly minted passport at the ICA yesterday at 1-ish. Before heading down, reports have been published on ICA withhelding passport applications for 1 week due to a sudden surge brought on by the school holidays.

Thank god, I applied mine before the news was released.

Anyways, the main point of this entry is to give thanks to the option of making an appt to collect the passport. I only had to wait for 10-15mins before I got my red pass in a holding area which was overrun with people of all ages.

Even before entering the building, I had a taste of how crowded it was going to be. The police had cordoned the area and allowing people in by groups. Even the outside pillars had the passport application withheld for 1 wk news report clippings pasted on it.

If I had not made an appt, I think I would have rotted a couple of hours of my youth there yesterday.

Ohaiyo!

Met up with 2 adorable Osaka babes via the introduction of a fren. The babes even taught us how to make Japanese spicy sweet curry over udon/rice and cabbage pancake topped with slices of pork belly.

Never knew the cabbage pancake was so easy to make! Ingredients include:

Eggs
Flour
Cabbage
pork belly slices

Mix the eggs with flour n stir to smooth mixture den dump in the chopped cabbage n mix equally. The on a hot frying pan, place 5 slices of pork belly and ladle the mixture over it in a round shape. Allow it to cook, then place 3 slices of pork belly and flip it over. Wait till the whole pancake is golden brown and serve.

You can also add this brownish sweet sauce (need to find out what it is called. not sure if its teriyaki sauce), mayo and fish flakes (all available at mediya supermarket) and voila!

It was a fun experience though the pancake me and the bf made was in a mess, albeit still great tasting haha~

I am now very careful in checking expiry dates edible foodstuff ever since, I fed the news from my bro that my uncle served us an expired F&N can drink.

The drink though expired months ago, still tasted like how it should taste with lots of fizz hence we did not suspect anything. Even my unsuspecting uncle.

One fine day, after the CNY visit to his place, he brough a couple of the same can drink to our home as he couldn't finished it all and wanted to share it with us. It was then my eagled eyes mum spotted the figures.

Hilarious.

Finished with 'Down with Love' drama series and I realised I very much prefer the kinda idol dramas that are both wacky, lame-ish funny with bits of romance compared to the sappy romantic and tears laden kind of idol drama.

Have just started watching 'Hi! My Sweetheart.' tw drama starring Rainie Yang and Show Luo. Another wacky pairing of a rebellious rocker chick and a naive rich boy. The show is peppered with lotsa cute animations and effects which got me laughing. Very entertaining so far. Luv it!

One of the most horrifying dream I ever had.

Just a couple of nights ago, I plonked off to bed and drifted off to a dream that woke me up in the middle of night.

The location was an un-identified void deck of block where a funeral site was. I was there to pay respect to the dead of a family that I knew in the dream but a stranger in real life.

I remembered walking towards the coffin which was opened to reveal the corpse (I hazily remembered the body was like decomposed (maybe about 50%) and I hastily took steps back after looking.

The dream then cut scene to me leaving the site with a last look at the lone coffin which then had black birds (crows? mynahs?) pecking at the opened coffin.
