FoOd FoOd AnD mOrE fOoD

Okie, I am a foodie.

I live, breathe, sleep and dream food. I snack at all times (even though I am suppose to lose some weight) and I love to try out all types of food. Heck, I even love fastfood.

Some of my fave eating places to-date:

1) Xin Wang HK Cafe (situated at Marina Sq & Orchard Cineleisure
What I love about the place: The Decor - this HK eatery has plush red leather (i
think) seats and even if there are only two of you at their
entry and staffers will not deny you the 4 seater by the
window side seats as long as it's available.
The music - tends to be chinese pop sounds (not techno)
played at a comfy level where you need not shout over while
yakking with your fellow foodie frens

The food: I love their ice yin-yong beverage, pineapple bun and maggie
floss noodles, custard buns plus their butter toast looks nice
but I have yet to try it out. The price is also pretty reasonable.
My bf and I were there for a couple of hours chatting over two
cuppas, a pineapple bun and custard buns and the bill
(including GST) did not even cross the 10 dollar mark.
*thumbs up*

2) Fish & Co (situated at the glass house, bugis and other assorted places)

What I love about the place: The Decor - Friendly staff and cosy decor that is not too
loud nor harsh on the eyes.
The music - Think is English pop but usually I pay not
attention to what's playing as the couple of times I been
there the place was packed and overflowing with the
chatting of fellow diners. Surprisingly, it wasn't dat noisy
and I enjoyed the bustling atmosphere.

The food: The menu: Okay, actually I find the resturant's menu a
tad too big in size but I can live with that. I am crazy over
their seafood platter. Crispy calamari rings, fragrant raisin
rice, tender fish, juicy mussels and yummi prawns. I think I
can finish a platter for two by myself. Their freeze drinks
are also "whoa!". So huge! I think 3 girls can share a mug!
All in all I am a seafood lover!!!!!!

3) NYDC (situated at wheellock place, suntec & holland v)

What I love about the place: The decor - Veri cosy with plush toys placed near the sofa
seats (at suntec) and the big blackboard written in
colourful chalks on the day's special.
The staffers' uniform - I love their black tees!

The food: Their heavenly baked pasta/rice! I love the 3 amigos to
depths of my tummy! It's almst a must-have everytime I
am there. OMG! Filled with slices of bacon, ham, meatballs
and draped in cheesy cheese. Smell it, taste it and devour
it. Their dessert - grandma goes nuts!!! I love the
marshmellows tucked in it. Yum!
And their drinks such as lemon shiver and mango tango. A
perfect complement to the meal....Their menu's pretty
cute and creative too :) And dun you dare forget their
signature oreo cheesecake mmmmmmmmm

4) Chomp Chomp (situated at serangoon gardens)

What I love about the place: The decor - set in your neighbourhood comfy wooden
tables and benches, you will feel right at home in your
singlets, tees and shorts. Great, no need to dress up at
all. Go there with a naked face!
I can just holler out for hawker food without feeling paiseh.
Plus I know what's nice there is a bonus so many a times I
was like the orderer cum menu for my fellow foodies
frens :p

The food: Their tender stingray (the stall was featured on ch8,5,u etc)
and it's reali good! Delish and slurpy wet hokkien mee,
flavourful with a slight I-want-charred taste, QQ wanton
mee, crispy carrot cake, bouncy ah-balling, sweet
sugarcane juice, chewy sotong, eggy and sour-spicy oyster
omelette.... And the list goes on and on. Plus it's cheap and
gather a grp of frens to share and you will have a feast fit
for a king...

Oh boi, I am hungry now...
