Nursing a RED right eye...

Darn, woke up to an itchy, red, watery and swollen eye at 3-ish am last nite (had I been unconsciously scratching my eye?!). I hope it clears up soon, got an important meeting tomorrow, can't afford to make MC...

Stuck home as I cant be seen looking like a goldfish and hence this entry is born as I rave and rant.

Met up huiting, sooying and weeling on friday after work at Bugis. Was a double wonderful feeling to meet up with my ever wonderful friends and to enjoy the approaching weekend where I need not go to work on Saturday...

We had a meet up cum mini celebration for huiting at Fish & Co and thanks to sooying for getting a delish chocolate birthday cake for huiting. We girls pig out on a platter for two, pasta and gigantic mug (reali huge lor!) of sharkie freeze!!!!!!

All through the meal, huiting is kept in the dark of the bday surprise we were to spring on her in the resturant. Sooying and weeling had earlier (before me and huiting arrived) smuggled in a cake into fish & co. As munched our way on the feast, the alfresco part of the resturant had a bdae girl too. The staff immediately broke into a bdae cheers and wishes which was LOUD.

Huiting commented that she would rather NOT have a bdae party in the resturant as she doesn't like the limelight to be on her. The 3 of us (sooying, weeling and me) were desperatly trying to keep our faces straight. Inner, we were already breaking out in guffaws. We were acting pretty cool till the staff broke into a bdae song and huting casually mentioned that it will be worse it the bdae girl was in the indoor part of resturant.

HELL BROKE LOOSE! Sooying, weeling and me could no longer contain our inner hysterics and started giggle cum luff till we all tear while huiting look on at us puzzled with a sprinkle of suspicion.

Well, to her preference, the 3 of us girls sang her a happy bdae song instead. Fun fun fun!

The cake was brought out and we had it divided into 4 thick pieces and gorge ourselves silly on it till we had a choc overdose and had to surrender with our white serviettes. Haha...The remaining cake looks like an eroded brownish mountain from my old geog txbk... Haha

We then proceeded to the Dome outlet for 2 hot pots of chamomile tea (veri sleep inducing, was feeling drowsy after my 3rd or 4th cup) at the Art Museum. It was a very peaceful place to chat your heart out.

Plop to bed at close to 1am while relishing the idea of No-Work-Day-On-Sat feeling. Fantastic. Woke up the next day to another hazy day. Guess the winds have brought it back to Singapore. In fact it is still hazy today... Sianzzzzzzz

*praying the haze goes away soon and my eye will clear up* Resisting the huge temptation to scratch it....
