Are you fretting over the way you look? Are you concerned with how your other partner has to look?

Admit it, EVERYONE on earth is concerned about LOOKS. Your looks are the first thing that other fellow humans see. The age old question of whether looks play a part in handing an advantage to good lookers, be it in the r/s or career department has been debated upon endlessly.

Yes, I agree that looks do play a part in attracting the opposite gender or maybe in an interview/audtion. BUT it will not secure a smooth sailing future/life for anyone. I am sure many of us have encountered a beautiful or dashing person only to find out that that the good looker lacks lots of depth in character. A beautiful but empty shell? Yes, such people do exist.

Do you really want a trophy partner for the rest of your life? Just think: A pretty girl/guy who throw tantrums at the drop of a pin? Keeps tabs on your every move? Restrict the friends you can befriend? Make your life a living hell? I think you will be better off with a pet.

Why is it still then that some people are still in seach of the ultimate good looking partner? I tell you why:

1) These self-deluding peeps are self deluded that they belong to the good looking crowd and are hence in search of a partner who will be on par with them.

2) Who doesn't like a pretty/dashing face? It is easier on the eye and great for showing off.

3) They want better looking kids (*faint)...

It is sad coz the media too heaps lots of attention to good lookers. Celebrities who make it or who are famous are usually drop dead good lookers and hence the unbalanced and unhealthy desire to be good looking.

If not plastic surgeons and slimming salons will not be laughing all the way to the bank and taking up full page and colour ads in the papers, magazines and posters we see everyday. We all heard of who's who's friends going for a botox or a face lift or wants to look like a certain hot shot celeb, don't we?

Or the immense collection of make-up products available on the market. Want perfect complexion? Use XXX light reflecting with added vitamins A & E and cushiony soft texture foundation with SPF 50+++. Want brighter peepers? Use XXX extra long extension mascara that comes in 5 different shades and extends your lashes 3X and is waterproof! Make-up intelligent stuff, no wonder the crowds are lapping it up so readily.

NO pain NO gain? We are all too familiar with this phrase which applies to going under the knife for those coverted high cheekbones, slim thighs and double eyelids. Not to mention the cost isn't exactly cheap either. Definitely a physical and wallet painful experience if you ask me.

Plastic surgery or botox for me? Nope, I rather age gracefully than look like a mannequin...

I want XX's hair, YY's eyes, ZZ's mouth & chin... Ta daah, What do you get????????
