I got a craving for....
CRABS!
Thanks to my foodie pal , Christel, who showed me ( or my hunger pangs) the delicious ways to cook crab doused in garlic and all... Yum! I want (female) crabs!
Used to indulge in butter crabs (cooked by the zi char uncles near my place) and it was super yummi! It beats the chilli and black pepper crabs hands down! The crispy light butter batter coats the crabs in a fragrance that gets your saliva on OT and when you bite into the sweet and rich crab, the taste is heavenly (and sinful too)...
The roe is even best. Reddish orange in colour after being fried, the slightly salty and powdery taste is the cream of the crop of the crab... Yum! I always insist on female crabs (for the hope of extra roe)...
The last time I had chilli crab I couldn't find the roe and I thought it was a little too messy hence my penchant for the butter fried ones.
I am soooooo drooling for it....
