Thought it was going to rain...
Luckily, it didn't... Was awake at around 8 plus in the morning yesterday and it was a PH (usually sleep till 10 plus or so and drag my sleep self outta my comfy bed on a weekend or PH)! What's the big occassion? Going for a run round the stadium lor :p
The sky was overcast and it started to rain around 9 plus (what a bummer!) so me and bf waited and finally around 10am, the hateful rain had ceased and we were able to go for our run as planned.
Arrived at the stadium ard 1030am and boy it was empty! Goody goody plus the sky was a nice shade of cloudy white and blue. No strong sun shinning its merciless rays down and a nice cool wind blowing. Perfect for a run!
Still remember that last time I went running with huiting and sooying, I had only managed to complete ONE round (*embarrassed*) so I told myself that it's THREE rounds and no less this time. Got some stretching done and I was huffing and puffing on the tracks in no time. Boy, it really takes much determination to keep on going at the tracks without stopping. We ran at our own pace while I try to distract myself while runnning by setting short markers and casting my eyes on the surroundings. Did not want to stop for a brisk walk as I was afraid I might lose the momentum.
And I managed to keep to the 3 rounds as promised. Woo hoo! What an achievement! Yeah yeah! Oh, an a shout out to my bf for breaking his own record too. You did great! Keep up the good work! ^_^
After the much celebrated run, we makan-ed, bathed and set for to Liang court's Mac so that my bf can revise and do his jap home work. I was keeping myself entertained with 8 day's sex symbol issue and The Lovely Bones novel by Alice Sebold. Then, we trooped off to Kino at Taka which was having a 20% sale off the books there and I got my fave Stephen King 4 Past Mid-night thriller collection.
We then met up with friends for a hearty meal at a resturant near Golden Mile Complex. To tell the truth, the last time I was there was a couple of years back when I was in my teens or younger. The place is dubbed "Little Thailand" and I gotta admit, it feels as if I was really in Thailand! The place was pretty rowdy and frankly I do not really like it. Was feeling relived the resturant was located inside the building but at another building down the street which was less rowdy and all.
The food was pretty nice with per dish tagged at S$4.80 except the fish dishes. We had prawns, chicken, vegetable, pork ribs etc. Yum! During dinner, I heard this chant of "Wan baooooo wan baooooo", I thought I was hearing things but it turned it was just an uncle with a 'stereo sounding voice' selling the chinese evening paper - Wan Bao. Haha, another friend oso thought he was hearing something he should not be hearing haha... Had a good laugh over it...
The guys then decided on a game of pool as an after dinner entertainment and we stayed the pool place till close to 1130pm and off to home we were.
My thighs were aching from the run and I was already shutting down... So tired but the PH was well spent. Had fun!
