Was at newton circus on Sunday...

The newly renovated Newton Circus food centre... And boy was it packed (not to mention I was there during the peak dinner hour)! Every table was occupied and almost every table (especially those where the occupants are finishing up their last morsel of bbq sting ray etc) had an individual and partner hovering to sit their butts and bags down.

What you will see at newton doused in lotsa chilli!

Me and my beloved half were bombarded with the bustling sights of so many stalls that we did not know which to buy from (as you can tell we are not exactly regulars there). A couple of stall hawkers were asking us to buy food from them (Excuse me, no table even to sit, how to eat??).

Almost giving up hope and thinking we made the wrong choice to have our dinner there, our saviour descended upon us in the form of an uncle from a nearby bbq seafood stall. He offered (and many others later, as we observed) to help us get a seat somewhere (he did not say it but of course in exchange for getting us a table, we got to buy bbq seafood from him. A tactic used by many other stall hawkers when we observed longer).

Increduously, he managed to find us a pretty good table where it wasn't too hot or stuffy and pretty windy with the wind blowing (except our empty paper plates keep flying off and got to paper weight em down)within 5 minutes.

Gotten a table, ordered and tucked into spicy and yummi bbq stingray, kang kong, chicken wings, fragrant white rice and refreshing sugar cane juice. Yummi tummy it was.

Although the experience wasn't half bad on sunday (a trip to the temp newton circus was worse, a too-pid stall hawker keep on haunting us to buy her stall's bbq seafood when we politely rejected her. We had to show her a black face before she backed down. Over persistant to the point of losing business, if you ask me), I feel lost at Newtom circus... Maybe coz its too big or maybe coz I am bias towards Chomp Chomp.

Chomp Chomp reigns far up higher in my heart. I love its cosy feel and I do not need to walk sooooooo far from one end to another as like Newton. The stall where I order my food is dependent on where I sit.

Miss the place... Wana go Chomp Chomp soon and chomp on the goodies there... *drool*
