sLeEp AwAy!

zZzZzZzZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sleep, sleep, sleep, I am so in lurve with sleeping.

I can sleep anytime! Be it in the morning, afternoon or night, I would gladly love to snuggle up and hit the sack.

In school, I used to sneak in a little shut eye during lecutures or class by casually rubbing my eyes hence givin 'em some precious seconds of sleep. Though I never dared to sleep openly (once this guy in front of me in the lecture theatre had plopped his head on the table and sleep openly with his mouth ajar; not a pretty sight), I devised means and ways to catch a short (better than nothing) snooze.

Can anyone also enlighten me on the immense temptation to sleep after lunch? Is it really coz of my full tummy? I would be dying to sleep the afternoon away and sought after a hot cuppa coffee to keep my brain awake (which is futile at times as my immunity to coffee is unpredictable at times).

The best time to sleep? The afternoon. Maybe is the heat or what but I am usually in bed in the afternoon around 2pm when I get off from school during my sec sch days (no wonder my friends were commenting how fast I step out of the sch gate once the bell rings to end sch :p)

I hate getting up in the mornings and catching sight of my bro (a heavy sleeper who needs a manual alarm clock aka my mum to wake him up in the mornings for sch) in bed and sleeping blissfully. It makes me go green with envy. Wish I could swap places with him on those mornings when he can sleep in...

Arrghhh....

Some of my sleeping habits:

1) I cannot have people talking around me when I am going to doze off. I bunked in once with my cousins and their incessant chatting kept me away from sweet sweet dreamland.

2) I need to sleep sideways on my tummy. When I was hospitalised for a surgery, the wound prevented me from sleeping the usual way and I had to sleep straight on my back the WHOLE nite. Darn, it was a torture!

Bet you too have your own sleeping habits too, doncha? :p

Do you know our cells repair 'emselves from around 11pm to 2am? That's the crucial timing for us to be in dreamland and to get our beauty sleep. So try to pop yourself into bed by then, if not it will be a sleep well wasted.
