WhIcH To ChOoSe

<--- Beauty quick fix when you have no time!

Just went down to the nearby Watsons near my workplace after lunch as there were some spare time to stroll away. Am always amazed by the shelf after shelf of beauty, body, cosmetic products for both genders on display.

So many brands at affordable prices. How do you know which is the best for you? With the tricky logic of individual preference and genes, what works great on a friend might not spell the same for you.

Plus packaging and attractive catchy words sure weave an irresistable lure on the shopper. Picture this:

A pearly pink and slim bottle plastered with a gorgeous model on the front with picture perfect face and figure. Awww so pretty, I wana be like her too. Caption: Get FLAWLESS, RADIANT and SUPPLE skin with XXX's REVLOUTIONARY Wrinkle GLOW skin combat cream that GUARANTEES to SMOOTH out your wrinkles in 7 DAYS!

Note the cap & bold words : crucial words to sell the product; fast results and skin that is faultless. Who doesn't want that? And selling at just within 30 bucks compared to luxury brands that sell at 10 times more and promising the same results? I'll be hooked :p

I am pretty self conscious of my looks at times and love pampering my skin twice weekly (who doesn't?). Especially with age catching up, the hectic work pace, concrete urban pollution (from the exhaust of cars, rain, sun), fellow human pollution (getting smoke puffed into your face and hair etc), and billions or zillions of germs and bacteria that are invisiable to the naked eye threatening to ravage my skin and health. Just the thought of it makes me wanna wash my face now (too bad now working)!

My daily skin care regime involves a basic cleanser to wash away oil, dirt and prevent pimples, pimple cream to dry up the offending offenders, hydrating eye cream to combat dark eye circles when I stay up and a moisturiser to flood my face and neck. If I am going out, a PA 50+++ sunscreen is essential.

The twice weekly pampering regimes involves a 5 minute scrub (get rid of skin-dulling old skin cells), nose mask to purge stubborn black heads and a vit c enriched mask to inject nutritious nutrients into my skin. Washed off after 10 mins and apply hydrating moisturiser.

A pretty stress-relieving session if you ask me.

Thank god for stores like Watsons and Guardian peppered everywhere from town to my neighbourhood. I can re-stock or try out new masks easily. And the prices aren't jaw dropping either.

So much on my beauty regime :p

Anyone got a good face mask to recommend? :)
