The natIoN'S SoN
yes, my brother has made his oath to serve the nation as a soldier.
Woke up on an early fri morning and made our way via train then bus then ferry to arrive the legendary Pulau Tekong.
Incredulously hot, i lost count how many times I wipped beads of perspiration off my forehead and ducking from the scorching sun beams.
We (family members) were given a tour of the BMT School surroundings, the facilities and a talk on the stuff new recruits will receive during their stay there. My first impression of the formidable grounds was the cleanliness and how airy the bunks are.
The highlight of the whole programme was the oath taking by the boys (or should I call them men?) in a unified and strong voice. We were also treated to a short clip on the BMT Stint the recruits will go through, the 'hair-raising' experience for the virgin botak shave and introduction of the commanding officer and others the recruits will be under the supervision of.
Jia you bro! I am looking forward to your POP in 4 months time :)
