BuLLy
The topic revolving during lunch time with the ladies touched on academic bullies and this poigantly brought back memories which to date I can still deftly remember.
My first encounter with a school bully/teaser was in primary school. Think I was in primary 1 coz I vividly remembered it was the late evening school bus ride home. I was seated towards the back of the bus (from then now I NEVER sit at the back of the bus) and had place my pink plastic waterbottle by the side nearer to the window. Throughout the rather peaceful ride, i did not realise this primary 6 kiddo had actually silently held onto the pink strap of my waterbottle from the back of the seat.
No matter how hard i tried to tug it from him, that bully refused to let go even when i reached my stop. Forcing me to flee off the bus in tears w/o my waterbottle which was later recovered from the bus auntie the next day.
Thankfully, it was a one-off incident. And I learnt my lesson to sit up in front of the bus instead of the back to avoid such unnecessary problems.
I wished I mustered enough courage to show him the middle finger then.
