In S'pore gd service seems to be a rare gem (pun unintended *tinks of the GEM campaign initiated* now.

More often than not, when u dine out at places; a simple request of a glass of ice water can returned with sulk. It takes forever to catch the attention of seemingly busy but doing nothing service staff, a tad on the rude side display of serving u your food and list goes on.

Worst, is such treatment usually reserved for locals.

So yours truly is especially appreciative when I come across a place where service is friendly, polite and attentive. One such place is the jap restaurant at Suntec: Tonkichi. Famed for their fresh, juicy and crispy pork loin, the outlet at Suntec which I patronised like thrice this year, provided mi and the bf with impeccable service that made our dining experience all the more delish.

From the self-initiated topping up of tea, smiles and polite guestures when taking of orders, serving & clearing of plates and special requests, we were blown away. This is a service am most willing to fork out.
